How to repair lens focus blur

Just change the lens directly.

Many novices buy equipment, obviously they buy good equipment, but they can't take such clear and sharp photos as the master. So I think my equipment is not good enough, and I thought about replacing it. In fact, many times, I don't know enough about my own equipment, or the shooting method is wrong. Shutter setting, focusing mode, holding posture, accessories and many other aspects will affect the clarity of photos. The following small series summarizes several reasons for everyone to see if you have been recruited.

"Poor marksmanship" is sometimes just a psychological feeling and an excuse to upgrade equipment. However, if we can find out the reasons and correct our own wrong operations in the shooting process, it will be a great gain to improve our shooting skills and bid farewell to Xiaobai photography.

First, the lens is not often cleaned.

It is easy to get dirt or dust on the lens or filter when shooting in harsh environment. If it is not cleaned for a long time, the photos will be partially unclear. Fingerprints and dust attached to the surface are usually visible dirty spots. Because its position in the photo is fixed, it is easy to find it by looking at the lens or enlarging the photo.

When you find that the photo is a bit blurred or lumpy, you should first pay attention to the good habit of dust removal before shooting, clean the lens in time, avoid changing the lens in a dusty environment, and ensure that all the lenses of the sensor and lens group are clean as much as possible.

Solution:

Determine the position of dust by observing the light transmission of reflective coating and front and rear lenses, and then remove dust by blowing or lens brush. You can also directly wipe a large area with professional lens paper, but don't wipe it with glasses cloth or ordinary paper towels, because the impurities on it may damage the lens coating and leave fiber debris.

Second, the posture of holding the machine is unstable.

First of all, you must hold the camera steady to ensure the picture is stable and clear. However, some novices know little about the posture of holding the machine, fail to grasp the essentials, and hold the machine unsteadily (especially the heavy mid-to high-end SLR), which is easy to cause jitter and blur the picture.

The correct posture should be:

Step firmly, stride, slightly wider than the shoulders, holding the machine with both hands, and body form's stable triangle. Keep your left arm and forearm close to your body and try to press the camera to your face. The hand, camera and face are fixed in a triangle. When shooting, adjust the breathing rhythm and press the shutter calmly.

Solution:

Both SLR and mirrorless cameras adopt the design of right-hand handle, so the correct posture is that the right index finger presses the shutter and the rest fingers hold the handle. The left hand supports the lens and is responsible for manipulating the lens. Specific finger position, ring finger and tail finger support the fuselage, thumb, middle finger and forefinger support and control the lens.

Third, the shutter speed has not reached a safe value.

If you use semi-automatic gear, when shooting in a dark place or shooting with a hand-held camera with low sensitivity, the shutter speed will decrease and the picture will be blurred easily. In order to avoid image jitter, we need to shoot above the safe shutter value. Safe shutter means that as long as the shutter speed is less than the reciprocal of the focal length used in shooting, the clarity of the shot picture can be guaranteed to a certain extent (for example, when shooting with a lens equivalent to 100mm, as long as the shutter speed is faster than1100 seconds).

But it is not absolute, because some people's hands are more stable or shakier, and the safety shutter is just a reference. Now many lenses or fuselage are equipped with anti-shake ability. Turning on anti-shake will reduce the picture definition to a certain extent, but at the same time, it can also get several levels of shutter compensation.
