Lighting Techniques for Indoor Shooting

Lead: Generally speaking, indoor light is always not as bright as outdoor light, so adjusting ISO value is a method to solve the problem of relatively weak indoor light when photographers enter indoor shooting from outdoor. Let's take a look at the detailed tutorial!

Increasing the ISO value will increase the noise of the picture, which is the same as increasing the sensitivity of the film when shooting with film, which will lead to the coarsening of the picture particles. The setting of ISO value depends on the intensity of light, not the nature of light. Photographers often choose to use high ISO values to create a light and exquisite feeling.

The following are common situations where ISO may need to be improved.

■ Shooting indoor sports. If shooting in indoor sports venues, you can adjust the ISO value to 1600, which can make the shutter speed fast enough and have the effect of condensation. Try to use the flash at the same time, so that the background will also stand out from the picture, and the audience will not feel the characters floating in the black background. Let exposure value aim at the neutral or gray matter in the gymnasium, then manually expose the subject, and set the flash to TTL flash test mode.

■ Shooting indoor events. If you don't want to use flash when shooting birthday parties or other indoor activities, please increase the ISO value.

■ special effects. Sometimes, the photographer will deliberately increase the ISO value, increase the' noise' of the picture, and give the picture a special effect and feeling.

Usually, when shooting the scene in this photo, the photographer will use a flash to directly illuminate, thus completely eliminating the orange in the picture. When I took this photo, I adjusted the ISO value to 800, exposing the face of the person illuminated by candlelight.

This picture uses an 85mm lens, and the exposure combination is shutter speed 1/30s and aperture value f2.

The power of light is the essence of photography, which is what we do and love. Those photos were born with light. Without light, they wouldn't exist. As photographers, our duty is to use light, study light carefully, and pass through the viewfinder? Describe it? Come out. Look at the light and observe how it travels through the earth and how it decorates and reproduces the world. Just after sunset, photographers can often find the most dramatic, peaceful and pleasant light. In Costa Rica, my two children are walking on the beach of Osa Peninsula at sunset.

This picture uses a lens of 20 mm ~ 35 mm, and the exposure combination is shutter speed 1/60s and aperture value f2.8
