In 2007, Xian's Comrades-Twenty Years of Military Photography was published and won the 7th China Photography Award (Book Award). Xian's first aerial photography was in 1995, when he was a military photojournalist in shenyang military area command, and he patrolled the border with his troops by helicopter. In the air, he saw that the northeast land where he lived was so magnificent and profound, and he had a creative impulse from the bottom of his heart, trying to freeze the grandeur of this land in the lens and turn it into an eternity. What I feel is not only his creative impulse, but also his love and affection for this black land. Before that, he was already a photographer with certain achievements and had long been famous in Liaoning photography. He took aerial photography as the breakthrough point of his creation, and found a new perspective in his creation when thinking about how to express his love for this land.

From the beginning of aerial photography to the present, Xi 'an has never given up every opportunity of aerial photography, regardless of the severe winter and heat. In the cold winter aerial photography, the plane door is wide open, and the cold wind blows on the face and body, which hurts like a needle. In order to ensure filming, he could not move. Every time after filming, his waist and legs can't move, not only frozen stiff, but also kept a posture for a long time, and his body was stiff. In the hot summer, there is no cold invasion, but the burning sun makes people panic, and their posture remains the same, and they have the feeling of retreating from the battlefield.

Capture the beauty in flight and record the beauty of nature in the air. Lines examine the feelings of the earth with their great mind, great vision and unique perspective. In the wind back to the clouds, a magnificent chapter of the earth is written. At the sight of Xian holding a camera that never leaves, he will think of the battle of 1988+05. I was having dinner that day, and the first-line post reported by phone: "The enemy came down." The action team ready to go out at any time dropped chopsticks, picked up bullets and rushed to the border. The mountain road in southern Xinjiang is rugged and dangerous. The path is only thirty or forty centimeters wide and the slope is over 50 degrees. It's hot, slippery and overgrown with weeds. Even the old scouts have to grind their teeth to get down. It's really 8 kilometers! It was really rolling and crawling. The soldiers in front heard the gunshots and the attack speed was "flying". When I was about to meet my comrades in the fire post, I shouted, "Heavy machine guns are ready to occupy the position." At this moment, I saw the thin Yun Qiang, which surprised me! When I sent him to your place for an interview during my trip, I specifically told him to ensure safety. To this end, your company also equipped him with a "guard" to protect his safety. After all, he is a photographer in the division. Besides, his "grass pole" body is not comparable to that of a well-trained scout ... Before I thought about it, he ran to the front, covered in mud and out of breath. When he saw me, his face moved, knowing that it was a smile, and he came around all the way to make that smiling face a little strange. Suddenly I found that he didn't have a gun, so I followed him and shouted, "Where's the gun?" Holding the camera in one hand, he ran without looking back and said, "Yes!" I watched him rush to the position. I wanted to say something, but I didn't say anything and followed him to that position. I don't know where he went after the battle started. The second time I saw him, he was on the rescue team. He is missing a hat and still only has a camera in his hand. I asked him, "Where's the gun?" He replied, "Yes!" The answer was louder than last time, but I saw that he didn't have a gun at all. I tried to hold him, but when I turned around, he disappeared again. What flashed through my mind was, "This child really needs to be watched, or something will happen ..."

As soon as the battle was over, he remembered to take pictures. I'm not here to ask him why he didn't bring a gun to fight. Later, I heard that he had interviewed other first-line companies. I've been thinking: is he still running around in that position with a camera?
