Amazonian rain forest cannibals (Wa Aranyi tribe in Amazonian rain forest)

On February 19, 2009, The Sun published some rare photos of the living conditions of the Huaorani tribe in the Amazon rainforest of South America. It is reported that this tribe slaughtered five American missionaries 64 years ago.

Vaclav Hilha, a 56-year-old photographer, took photos of the Wa arani tribe hunting while visiting the Amazon rainforest.

In one photo, two men are preparing to go fishing, while in another photo, a chef is pouring uncooked food into a metal pot.

The tribe is famous for killing five Americans who tried to convert them to Christianity in 1956.

Because the Wa Aranyi tribe mistakenly thought that these five Americans were cannibals, they stabbed them to death with spears. Afterwards, the Wa arani tribe also said that their judgment was wrong, and they apologized for killing these Americans.

Vaclav said: "I visited the Wa arani tribe accompanied by a local guide. Fortunately, I received a warm reception. I try not to make them feel uneasy and let them move as before. I am surprised by their traditional way, cognition of nature and collective view. "

The word Aranyi means human. The tribe abides by its own hunting rules. They don't prey on jaguars, pythons and deer, but they are famous for killing monkeys with poison guns.

In their view, snakes are evil forces, and preying on them will bring disaster.

The Wa Aranyi tribe was first discovered by employees of Shell Oil Company in the late 1940s. The Ecuadorian government has been encroaching on their land and exploiting fossil fuels.

1956 More than 60 years have passed. Today, we use modern technology, the Internet, mobile phones and so on. And they still live the simplest life. They live by hunting and fishing.

In recent years, the continuous exploitation of the Amazon forest has forced the Wa Aranyi tribe to move to the depths of the rainforest, and their water source has been polluted by nearby oil companies.

How long this tribe can last is really worrying.
