Where is Xu Beihong's former residence in Yangshuo?

Xu Beihong's former residence in Yangshuo is a cultural relic protection unit in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Located at No.2 Xianqian Street, Yangshuo Town, Yangshuo County, by the Lijiang River and in front of the county people's government.

Xu Beihong's former residence was given by Mr. Li Zongren from 1935 to 1938 when Xu Beihong lived in Guangxi. Outside the former residence, there are small blue tiles with white walls and yellowish cornices. There is a plaque inscribed by Mr. Wu Zuoren on the "Exhibition Hall of Xu Beihong's Former Residence" and a marble inscription on "Xu Beihong's Former Residence". The house is made of brick and wood, and there is a tall magnolia tree in the yard, which is full of flowers.

The exhibition hall mainly shows Mr. Xu Beihong's real life here, as well as pictures reflecting Mr. Xu Beihong's life experience and so on. Xu Beihong's famous paintings "misty rain on the Lijiang River" and "Qin Ge Capital" were all created here. Now it is a key cultural relic protection unit in Guangxi.

Xu Beihong (1895- 1953)
