Students learn photography from scratch at home during holidays. How can they get correct exposure?

These days after the college entrance examination, you just walked out of the misery, slept at home for three days and nights, went out to play all night, and lay flat and ate watermelon. Please relax. But after these days, you should plan this summer vacation well! Buns who like to take pictures can learn photography, and they are not afraid of zero foundation. What I bring to you today is the use of metering and the difference between different metering modes.

Photometry means that the camera measures the light of the picture, so that the camera can be exposed correctly and take photos with correct brightness.

There is a light measuring ruler in the camera. When the scale points to "0", it means that the exposure is normal; When left, it means underexposure; When it is correct, it means that the exposure is normal.

There are four measurement modes: evaluation measurement, point measurement, partial measurement and central key average measurement.

1. But usually only spot metering and evaluation metering are used.

2. The measuring mode is only different in "measuring area" and "calculating weight".

Evaluation metering is the most used metering mode, which divides the picture into multiple areas; Each area is measured independently, and then the average value of the whole picture is calculated according to this.

Features: the overall light in the framing range is relatively uniform, the contrast of the dark part of the whole picture is not too large, and the exposure of the photos taken is basically accurate.

Applicable scenes: the average metering mode is suitable for shooting scenes with uniform light in the whole picture, such as landscape photography and sunshine environment.

Part of the photometry is a photometry element, which measures the light in the range of 12% in the center of the picture and weighs it to get the photometry result. This mode is similar to spot metering mode, except that its range is slightly larger than spot metering.

Features: The overall light in the framing range is uniform, the contrast of the dark part of the whole picture is not too great, and the exposure of the photos taken is basically accurate.

Applicable scene: This metering mode is suitable for subjects such as stage photography and sports photography.

As the name implies, spot metering is to measure a point. The "point" of spot metering generally refers to the area of 1%-5% of the viewing range, which is usually in the same position as the focus point.

Features: The advantage of spot metering is "accuracy". Spot metering is most suitable for shooting in the environment with complex light and large light difference ratio, which can accurately control the exposure of the picture.

Applicable scene: This metering mode is suitable for shooting in the environment with large light contrast. When measuring light in bright or dark parts, the whole picture will have a great contrast effect.

The metering area of the central key metering accounts for about 20%-30% of the framing picture, and the metering is mainly based on the brightness of the central area of the picture, while the other areas of the picture are given average metering.

Features: center key metering is not as convenient as average metering, not as accurate as spot metering, but more accurate than average metering and more convenient than spot metering.

Applicable scenes: the average metering mode is suitable for shooting scenes with uniform light in the whole picture, such as landscape photography and sunshine environment.
