Journey to the West Daughter Country Shooting Place

The 86th edition of Journey to the West was filmed in Suzhou.

The shooting covers three famous gardens in Suzhou: Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Forest, Teachers College and Suzhou Panmen, showing the charm and beauty of Jiangnan water town.

The Journey to the West, also known as CCTV 86 The Journey to the West, was adapted from the literary classic of the same name by Wu Cheng'en, a novelist of the Ming Dynasty. It is a 4 1 costume drama produced by China International Television Corporation. Directed by Yang Jie, written by Dai, Yang Jie and Zou Yiqing, starring six young children, with Xu, Chi, Wang Yue, Ma Dehua, Liu Dagang, Li Shihong, Li Yang, Zhang Yunming and Li Po as the main voices.

The play tells the story that the Monkey King, Pig Bajie and Friar Sand assisted Xuanzang, a monk of the Tang Dynasty, to go to the Western Heaven to learn Buddhist scriptures, and the four of them rushed to the seaside to take risks and exorcise demons. After eighty-one difficulties, they got back the true scriptures and finally got the right result.

1986 Spring Festival Gala, once broadcast, caused a sensation throughout the country, suitable for all ages. It was well received and created the myth of 89.4% ratings. It is still the most replayed TV series in winter and summer vacations, with more than 3000 replays, and it is still an unsurpassed classic.
