In the history of China, the status and function of wine is extremely important. In ancient times, many people were addicted to wine, and regarded wine as their confidants, especially literati, who loved wine even more. Ignorance of wine was looked down upon by the upper class in ancient times. The ancient people's views on wine are so different from those of modern people, on the one hand, because the ancients emphasized elegance and health, on the other hand, because the ancient alcohol content was really not high, it was difficult to get drunk, and it did little harm to the body. China people have mastered the brewing technology for a long time. Different from modern distilled liquor, most of the ancient people brewed yellow wine, which was low in degree and mild in temperament. In the eyes of people who like to drink spirits, I'm afraid this kind of wine tastes bad, but ancient wine also has its own advantages, that is, the longer it is stored, the more mellow it is. In ancient times, there were many wines that had been hidden for decades. However, due to various reasons, basically no ancient wine has been preserved to modern times, which is also a regret in many people's hearts. After all, who doesn't want to enjoy a hundred or even a thousand years of wine? However, in the excavation of temples some time ago, important discoveries were made. There is a famous Ming Dynasty monument in Nanjing, called Cheng 'en Temple. This temple was very famous in the Ming Dynasty. It was built by Wang Jin, a great eunuch, who donated his residence. Wang Jin's fame is far less than that of Liu Jin, who is only one word behind himself. However, when he was alive, his strength was enormous. Wang Jin was a great eunuch in Xuanzong period and was deeply trusted by Xuanzong. After the Hanwang Rebellion, Emperor Xuanzong personally led troops to pacify, and Wang Jin was an attendant eunuch. In the third year of Xuande, Wuliangha stormed, Xuanzong led the army, followed by Wang Jin. After that, whenever there was a major war, Wang Jin basically joined the army as a eunuch. Deeply trusted by the emperor and having the right to supervise the army, countless people tried to curry favor with him. Wang Jin has a lot of wealth, and his mansion is magnificent and extremely brilliant. However, Wang Jin later donated his mansion to build a temple. In this way, Wang Jin's former residence became Chengen Temple. According to records, Chengen Temple is extremely magnificent. It was once the residence of Wang Jin, and the incense was very strong. However, in 1900, a fire broke out in the temple and spread rapidly. Although the monks and people tried their best to put out the fire, the temple was destroyed by the fire, leaving only the main body of the temple and broken walls. Since then, Chengen Temple has been buried underground. Until 2006, a construction site was under construction and an ancient site was discovered underground. When the archaeological team came to investigate, they found that it was actually a historical relic of Chengen Temple. The archaeological team immediately carried out a protective excavation of the ancient site. During the excavation, the team members found ten cans covered with dust underground. After the jar was opened, the rich aroma of wine immediately drifted on the construction site, attracting many workers. The wine stored for hundreds of years attracted many people to watch it. Some workers joked that they wanted to taste ancient wine. However, experts explained that these ancient wines are made of red yeast, which has strong anti-corrosion ability and good sealing performance, so it can be preserved to this day. However, no one can guarantee that dirt and dirty water have not penetrated into ancient wine for hundreds of years. Once bacteria grow, this wine may smell sweet, but it is fatal to drink. And the ancient wine that has been preserved for 500 years is already a cultural relic. Of course, you can't drink it casually. Some people wonder, Chengen Temple was originally a temple, why should wine be stored underground? Experts explained that there are many possibilities. Before the completion of Cheng En Temple, this was Wang Jin's residence, so these ancient wines may have been buried in Wang Jinfu. However, according to historical records, there is a commercial street and many shops on both sides of Cheng 'en Temple. These jars may have been buried by a shop, but for some reason, they have been forgotten and buried underground until now. Although these fine wines can no longer be tasted, their long history plays an important role in the study of ancient fine wines.
