Yam Tat-wah 1955 was born in Hongkong on March 9, 2009. His father is a policeman, and a family of five lives in a police dormitory in Yam Tat-wah. Yam Tat-wah's father died at the age of 1 1, and his mother worked odd jobs in a factory to provide schooling for three children. Yam Tat-wah helped her mother make plastic flowers and wear beads to make money for her family.
