Describe the appearance of Macao octagonal pavilion

Macau Octagonal Pavilion Library, located in front of Macau City Hall, is the smallest library in Macau. A two-story building, a pavilion-like building in Suzhou Park, is quite classical. Even if it's not for reading, this small pavilion is a good material for photography.

The Octagonal Pavilion in Macau is a cylindrical building with only two floors. It is a typical combination of Chinese and Western styles. The roof is a traditional building in China, but the figure is a bit of a western-style column. After looking up some information, I realized that this humble library was built in 1927 and designed by designer Chen Peipei. It turned out to be the first Chinese library in Macau.

There are many books, including humanities classics, popular books and newspapers and magazines. But there are still many people who come to read books, mostly middle-aged urban office workers, who pass by after work and browse newspapers and magazines.

Actually, I quite like this small library. Its architectural style is very distinctive. Like this city, it is a bit of a combination of Chinese and Western. Moreover, sitting in this antique library, I opened a thick old newspaper of Macao Daily, and the yellow paper made people go back to history. Sometimes, sitting on a couch, standing up, stretching, overlooking the bustling night scene of the city outside the library window, I feel a sense of time and space going backwards, applying the current buzzwords and crossing.

in the future, I will pay attention to this small book stand every time I pass Shuikeng tail street by car. In the increasingly tall urban space, it is getting smaller and smaller.

I'm worried that old urban buildings like the octagonal pavilion will one day disappear with the modernization of Macao.
