Joseph Charles Francis Rock's introduction

Austrian-American Joseph Charles Francis Rock is the "father of Naxi", an explorer, botanist, geographer and linguist. In the early 20th century, as an explorer, writer and photographer, he visited the Yunnan-Myanmar border and Tibet in National Geographic magazine, the US Department of Agriculture and the Institute of Botany of Harvard University.
