What are the citywalk routes with high cultural concentration in Beijing?

In this fine weather in June, I made a city walk route for myself, which took about 5 hours. This route allows me not only to enjoy the beautiful scenery, but also to take pictures, which is well worth a try!

This route includes: Wang Hongbin Avenue, Working People's Cultural Palace, Purdue Temple, Wang Hongbin Art Museum, the former site of the editorial department of New Youth (Chen Duxiu's former residence), Xuanren Temple, Peking University Red House, Qiushi Magazine, National Cultural Heritage Administration, the former site of Sino-French University, Songzhu Temple and Zhi Zhu Temple.

Not only are there no repeated routes, but they are all free to visit and take pictures.

1. From Exit B of Tiananmen East Station, you can see the arch at the entrance of Wang Hongbin Street not far away, and then go straight ahead. There are the Working People's Cultural Palace, Wang Hongbin Art Museum and Purdue Temple on this road.

2. The Wang Hongbin Art Museum, known as the "Capital of the South of the Yangtze River", is closed only on Mondays, and is open from Tuesday to Sunday 10-5:00. Tickets usually start in 80 yuan, and the weekend 100 yuan. In fact, Purdue Temple is very small. There is only a statue of dourgen in it. It is a hutong park with few people. There are several children riding bicycles in the open space in front of the temple.

3. Go on, pass Donghuamen, and you will arrive at Beichizi Street. The former site of the editorial department of New Youth (Chen Duxiu's former residence) is hidden in Jiang 'an Hutong, which is very awakening. It is closed on Mondays and open from 9 am to 5 pm on Tuesdays to Sundays. Tickets are free and you need to make an appointment in advance.

Xuanren Temple has a super beautiful red wall. When the weather is fine, the whole street takes wedding photos, which is very festive.

5. Turn right into May 4th Street, and we come to the former site of the Red Mansion in Peking University, which is said to be the most frequently seen building in the TV series Awakening Times. Free, but you need to make an appointment in advance. It is open from 9 am to 4: 30 pm from Tuesday to Sunday.

6. Then continue to turn left into Beihe Street, pass Qiushi magazine and National Cultural Heritage Administration, and come to the former site of Sino-French University.

At this time, it is very close to the terminal "Songzhu Temple and Zhi Zhu Temple". All you have to do is cross the Liangguochang Hutong and cross the road, and you will arrive soon. If you are interested, try this route again!
