In addition to the above situation, there is also the matching problem between the lens and the fuselage-especially when the lens and the fuselage belong to different manufacturers, the phenomenon of out-of-focus will become very common.
2. What should I do if I run out of coke?
It can be said that out-of-focus is a very common phenomenon in the digital age. This problem will only hurt if you don't realize it exists. Once you know how to debug and correct defocus, its negative effects will be completely eliminated, and your lens is still a good lens.
The following are the specific steps to correct the defocused lens:
Print out-of-focus test card
You can buy a professional out-of-focus test card, you can also search for resources online (not as high-definition as you bought, but you can also use it), and you can also make a handy children's shoe according to the instructions of DIY tutorial.
Making test card support plate
You need to find a flat slope of 45 degrees to place the test card. It is very simple to make. Just cut a corner of the carton to make the two right-angled sides equal in length.
Leveling camera
Now most cameras have built-in electronic level meters. Turn on the real scene, and then turn on the electronic level, so as to ensure that the camera is completely horizontal.
If there is no electronic level, an external bubble level can be used to assist leveling.
Keep the height of the camera consistent with the center of the test card.
You need to measure the height of the center of the test card with a tape measure (that is, the length from the ground to the center of the test card), and then measure the height of the center of the camera to ensure that the two are equal.
Determine the nearest focal length
First, observe the nearest focal length marked on the lens.
For example, today we tested Longteng's 35/ 1.4, and its shortest focusing distance is 0.3m, which is 30cm.
Note that this distance does not refer to the distance from the lens to the subject, but to the distance from the photosensitive element to the subject.
Use a tape measure to ensure that the distance between the center of the test card and the photosensitive element is 30 cm, so that the most accurate test results can be obtained.
Start testing
Turn the lens aperture to the maximum and start the test.
Taking the lens in my hand as an example, when shooting in the test card center, the results are as follows:
As you can see, the lens was out of focus and moved back 8 mm.
Adjust calibration
After measuring the defocus, it's time to adjust the calibration.
This time we use Nikon camera, and then take Nikon camera as an example to introduce how to correct out of focus.
You need to find AF fine tuning settings in the camera menu settings:
Open this interface, and you can see that the initial default value is 0. Check the default option.
In the default options, we can see the scale of focus adjustment.
Through the previous test, we know that the focus of this lens has moved back by 8 mm, so we can move the focus forward by 8 mm in this interface, and then save and exit.
Reexamination
After calibration, aim at the center of the test card with the largest aperture according to the method just now, and take another photo to see if it is still out of focus.
If this happens, the focus is only on the scale of 0. Congratulations, your lens is no longer out of focus;
Canon's camera menu adjustment method is the same. You can find the menu settings for autofocus fine tuning, and then follow the prompts.
Finally, I would like to remind you that different lenses are out of focus, some move forward and some move back. It is best to record the parameters of each shot separately. Because, every time you change the lens, you need to readjust the default value of AF fine-tuning to ensure the highest focusing accuracy.
