Correct use and maintenance method of digital camera battery
Proper use and maintenance of digital camera batteries 1. Battery preservation
If you plan not to use the digital camera for a long time, you must take the battery out of the digital camera or charger, fully discharge it, and then store it in a dry and cool environment, and try to avoid storing the battery with ordinary metal objects. In order to avoid short circuit of the battery, the battery should be covered with a protective cover when not in use.
Second, the new battery charging principle
The original charger must be used for battery charging. Usually, when charging a battery that is used for the first time (or a battery that has not been used for a period of time), there is an activation process. After turning off the charging light for the first 3-4 times, the battery should be placed on the charger for at least 6 hours. For the charging time, it depends on the charger and battery used and whether the voltage is stable. Lithium batteries must last more than 6 hours, and Ni-MH batteries must last more than 14 hours (different capacities require different time), otherwise the battery life will be shorter in the future. When the battery still has residual power, try not to charge it repeatedly to ensure the battery life. And use it again every time you run out, otherwise even the lithium battery will affect the use.
After the new battery is inserted into the charger and connected to the power supply, the charging indicator light of the charger lights up and charging begins. Continuous charging, during which the electric indicator light is always on. The charging indicator goes out, and the charging continues to be consolidated. When using the charger to charge, when the charging indicator light goes out, the battery is generally only about 90% full. It is recommended to continue charging for 6 hours. 3-4 times in a row, charging each time, and then it can be turned into normal use. Rechargeable batteries have a memory effect. Before each charge, you should use a camera or other means to completely discharge the battery before charging, otherwise the battery capacity will be reduced.
Third, the use of batteries.
Pay attention to the amount of battery when using, and don't run out of electricity. Avoid over-discharge during use, which means that the electricity consumption exceeds the limit at one time. Otherwise, even if it is charged, the capacity cannot be fully recovered, which is a kind of damage to the battery. Because overdischarge will lead to poor battery charging efficiency and decreased capacity, camcorders are equipped with battery alarm function. So in this case, you should replace the battery in time, try not to let the battery run out, and automatically turn off the camcorder.
Fourth, the battery is clean.
In order to avoid power failure, you should keep the contact points at both ends of the battery and the inside of the battery cover clean. If the surface is dirty, gently wipe it with a soft, clean dry cloth. Do not use clean or chemical solvents to clean digital cameras, batteries or chargers, such as thinner or alcoholic solvents.
Five, a few points for attention
The original charger must be used for battery charging.
The battery should be stored for a long time after it is fully charged. Because of the self-discharge phenomenon of batteries, batteries stored for a long time should be charged and discharged every three months before storage.
The battery can't be charged normally at high temperature and low temperature. Generally speaking, the optimum temperature is between 0 and 40 degrees Celsius. When using the battery, it should be prevented from falling, ☆ avoid collision, so as not to cause short circuit inside the battery and scrap it.
To prevent overcharging. That is, don't charge more. One of the characteristics of lithium-ion batteries is very bad, that is, the aging of lithium-ion batteries (or aging, which foreigners call aging), that is, after storage for a period of time, even if it is not recycled, it will permanently lose part of its capacity, because the anode and cathode materials of lithium-ion batteries have begun its failure process from the factory.
Different temperatures and fully charged batteries have different aging consequences. The higher the storage temperature, the more fully charged the battery, and the more serious the capacity loss. Therefore, long-term storage of lithium-ion batteries is not recommended.
Nor does it need to be consolidated for a long time after being fully charged (only after the battery is turned into normal use). If the battery is not fully used for a period of time and needs to be recharged, it should be discharged first and then recharged.
It is forbidden to use an unspecified AC adapter.
