How interesting is Kaiping?

Attractions along the way: Fangshi Lantern Building at night view of Tanjiang River, Chishui Tangkou Scenic Street, Baihe, Chishui.

Tourism style: overseas Chinese architecture, villages, market towns and natural environment. There is no doubt that this is a human journey, suitable for photography and people interested in human geography.

Brief introduction of itinerary:

Day 1: Jiangmen

You can leave in the afternoon by car and cross Humen Bridge to Jiangmen via Guangzhou-Shenzhen Expressway, which takes up to three hours. Living in Jiangmen Youth Hostel. International Youth Hostel is located on the edge of Jiangmen Ancient City Reserve. Upon arrival, you can visit the night view of Chang Di Scenic Street and stroll in Jiangmen Old Town. At night, most of those century-old streets are empty, even without lights, as quiet as a dead city, and they have a unique style in wandering. The problem of eating can be solved on the spot in the youth hostel. Don't stay up too late, because you have to get up early the next day.

The next day: Chishui Musk Lily

If you drive, you can go to Kaiping in the morning. On the way, you can buy some sufu directly sold by Shuikou Town Guanghe Sufu Factory. After crossing the Shuikou road, you can see the watchtower from time to time. If you are interested, you can drive into the village to have a look, but you need to pay attention to controlling the time and arrive in Kaiping before nine o'clock.

You can refer to this route for driving, or you can go to Chishui from Kaiping via Baisha. The scenery is beautiful all the way. I'm afraid no one can resist the temptation to stop and watch.

There are also several watchtowers near the Risheng Building, from which you can see. You can just stroll around. It's remote and less influenced by the outside world, so it's quiet and full of green eyes. Go back to Chishui town for dinner at noon. Recommended the clay pot rice opposite Chishui market, 5 yuan each, cheap and delicious.

There are many watchtowers in Diangang town. After getting off the bus, you can search southwest of the town along the banks of Diangang River. When you can see dozens of watchtowers, the right bank of the river is two kilometers away from Diangang town, and you can see the roof of the famous Swiss building through a row of villages. Now the Ruishi Building is being cleaned and renovated, so we must go to see it as soon as possible, otherwise the surrounding environment will be destroyed in a few days.

After seeing the Swiss building, you can go back to hickory. Drivers can search in the direction of northeast lily. There are countless towers and different styles along the way, but don't be greedy. You can ask people to go to Nan 'an Village on the way. Those who don't have a car can rent a motorcycle. Nan 'an Village is the location of Tianlu Building, the head of the famous Majianglong Diaolou Group. There are street signs in the village, but you can take turns to see the watchtowers everywhere.

Bian Xia Village is on the right side of the road 200 meters in front of Baihe Town. You can see the beautiful silhouette of the stone road on the road. After watching Shilu, I went to Chikan from Lily Town. There is also a watchtower to see on the road. If we have time, we can get closer to see the scenery, but I'm afraid it's already dark now. You can stay in Chikan that night, but the conditions are more difficult. You'd better go back to Kaiping, it won't take long anyway.

Day 3: Chishui Tangkou

Out of Kaiping, Tanjiang River is on the left and a series of villages are on the right. These villages basically have watchtowers, and you can watch them all the way. In fact, seeing the watchtowers is not only to see their beauty, but also their relationship with the village and the small environment of each watchtower is very interesting. These are not two identical towers.

There is a south tower by the Tanjiang River, which is a historical relic of Chikan people's resistance to the Japanese aggressors. The beautiful towers in this series of villages are Zhenhua Building and Jixiang Building, and some overseas Chinese houses in Luju are also beautiful. You can turn around slowly and wait until you are hungry at noon to eat in Chikan Town.

Just drive all the way along the Tanjiang River. Just some country roads. It is not convenient to drive. I'm afraid I have to walk a few more steps.

On the right side of the road leading to Chikan Town, there is Kaiping No.1 Middle School. There is a beautiful red building inside. If there is an opportunity, you should go in and have a look.

Rest at Chikan at noon, start from Chikan, cross the 325 National Road, and follow the signs to Liyuan. Note that there is a large-scale Shoutian Building in Qingmin Village on the left side of the road. You can take a closer look. Go further down and you will arrive at the pear garden. Liyuan is a well-developed scenic spot, all the buildings have been painted new, and the surrounding environment has been seriously damaged. Personally, I think it has no ornamental value, but if you want to enjoy it as a small theme park, you can still go and see it.

Ziliyuan intersection has been down to Tangkou ancient town. There is nothing in Tangkou Town itself, but you can see Fangshi Lantern Building and Gigi Lai Village Diaolou Group in the north of the town. Now that Gigi Lai Village has been modified, it may start charging fees soon, and the modification will inevitably cause some damage to the environment. Let's go before it's too late.

In fact, there are many watchtowers and overseas Chinese houses scattered between Gigi Lai Village and Fangshi Lantern Building and the surrounding villages. They are all beautiful, so you can have a good look around. There is a Yaqiang Middle School on the road from Tangkou Ancient Town to Gigi Lai Village. There is an ancestral temple in the middle school, and there is a huge watchtower behind it. If the school is open, you can go in and have a look.

Come out of Tangkou, follow the original road, get on National Highway 325 and return to Kaiping. There are also many watchtowers in the villages passing by on the road. Let's follow fate. However, there are two places that must be seen.

One is the famous Canadian village, in the shrimp village of Chikan Lingyuan, on the right side of the highway, with electricity on the roadside.
