Daguerre was born in Cambre in the north of France on 1787. He was an artist when he was young. In his thirties, he designed a "peep show", which is a panoramic picture displayed with special lighting effects. When he was engaged in this work, he became interested in developing a machine that can automatically reproduce world scenes without brushes and pigments. From then on, he began to try to develop a camera.

At first, his efforts to design practical cameras failed. He met Nieps at 1827. It is possible that Nipps was also trying to invent a camera at that time (at that time, he had achieved some success). Two years later, they became partners. 1833 Niepce died, and Daguerre continued this effort alone. By 1837, he had successfully invented a practical photographic system called Daguerre photography.

1839, Daguerre announced his photography process to the public, but did not apply for a patent. In return, the French government awarded Nipps's son and Daguerre a life annuity. The announcement of Daguerre's invention caused a great sensation among the public. He became a hero at that time and won many honors. At the same time, Daguerre photography has been widely used. Shortly after his retirement, Daguerre died in a country house not far from Paris in 185 1.

No invention is entirely due to one's own work. In fact, before Daguerre, many other jobs prepared for the success of Daguerre. Even so, it still gets a rather blurred image.

With Daguerre method, the image is recorded on the negative coated with silver iodide, and the exposure time of 15 to 20 minutes is enough. In this way, although this method is still very troublesome, it is very practical. Two years after Daguerre made his method public, others made some minor improvements: silver bromide was added to silver iodide used as a photosensitive material. This slight change has played an important role, greatly reducing the necessary exposure time, thus making it feasible to produce images by photography.

1839, shortly after Daguerre announced his invention, British scientist Talbot announced that he had invented a different photographic method. In the same way as we do, it uses negative film. An interesting record shows that Talbot actually made his first photo in 1835, which was two years earlier than Daguerre's photography. Talbot is engaged in several other research work at the same time, but he can't carry out his photography experiment quickly.

Daguerre died, and Daguerre's very popular invention played a great role in promoting the development of history in the future. People's research on cameras has not stopped because of this. Talbot, an Englishman, invented "Talbot photography" at the same time as he invented the silver disk camera, so that a negative can obtain multiple photos. Decades have passed, and Americans have caught up.
