Sketch Master can't see the geometry, and it can't change the perspective view. It's always cut. It can't be viewed with the camera.
Sometimes when operating a model in SketchUp, I accidentally find that part of the model near the screen has disappeared, as if there is an invisible plane that has cut off a piece of the front part of the model. Without the complete appearance of the model, you can still clearly see the blue back inside the model. Even if the view is rotated or panned, the damage to the model near the screen cannot be improved. One can't help but worry that the "arrancar" phenomenon was caused by damage to the model due to unintentional operating errors. This is also a question often asked in forums by users who are not familiar with SketchUp operations.
This phenomenon is called "Camera Clipping Plane". First of all, don't worry; although it will cause some visual disturbance, it will not cause substantial damage to your model. .
This phenomenon may be caused by several conditions:
⑴ You may have set the "Field of view" (FOV) too wide. In photography terms, The theory is that you set the lens angle of this SU's default camera to a wide-angle lens. Usually you can adjust the FOV between 1 and 120 degrees (deg) (this FOV is set to 35 degrees in the free version of SU and 30 degrees in the professional version of SU Pro). If you set the FOV all at once If the angle is too large, the near foreground of the scene will appear to be cut off. During the operation of the scene in SketchUp, it is easy to unintentionally change the size of the field of view (FOV) as long as you hold down the Shift key and use the "Zoom" tool to zoom in or out. It is actually not difficult to eliminate this phenomenon. Set the FOV back to 30 deg (the so-called standard lens 67mm) and perform "Zoom Extents" once, which will naturally eliminate this phenomenon.
⑵ Another situation that may cause cropping is when the "Camera Perspective Mode" (Perspective) is turned off. In this case, click "Maximize View" in the toolbar ( Zoom Extents) button (this button looks like a magnifying glass with four red outward arrows), the camera lens will zoom out to show the entire model, and the original cropping situation will be released.
⑶ Another situation is when the model is "scaled up or down" (Scale) to a very small or very large size, which sometimes causes the near area of ??the displayed view to be cropped. In this case, you only need to change the size and proportion of the model to eliminate the phenomenon of the scene being cropped at close range.
⑷If your model is very far from the "origin point", the view may also be cropped. The so-called coordinate origin is the point where the red, green, and blue coordinate axes intersect. . In this case, you only need to move the model to a position close to the coordinate origin to successfully eliminate the clipping phenomenon. The method of operation is to select the entire model, use the "Move" tool, first grab a corner point of the model frame on the ground, and start dragging the model while clicking on the "Value Control Box" (in SU In the lower right corner of the window, type "" (note that the square brackets must be included). This will move the corner point just captured on the model to the coordinate origin, and will also eliminate the phenomenon of the camera cropping the close-up view.
An exception to the fourth possibility is that the main model you are working on may be near the origin of the coordinates, but for some reason you accidentally added an entity far away from the origin of the coordinates. Even a small line segment may cause a "broken face" situation, but this small entity is not easy to find.
Especially when importing CAD drawings into Sketchup for modeling, this situation is most likely to occur due to problems with CAD drawings. Generally, you can use ctrl to select all models, then press the shift key to remove the selection of the main model, and then delete to delete the models other than the main model. Delete the problem models that are useless but difficult to find, and the problem will be solved! Selected from Purple Sky - Aaronyee
