Examples are given to illustrate how to convert point light source into area light source in photography practice.

Control the exposure. The light is a little stronger. Point light source can be obtained by reducing the aperture lifting speed and reducing exposure. The surface light source can be obtained by increasing the aperture, decreasing the speed and increasing the exposure.

Control angle. The same theme, take care of enough output. When the lens and the light source are in the same direction, the surface light source can be obtained. Backlight shooting, lens and light source in turn, can get point light source.

Shoot with the slow door. The light source is a point light source, such as a flashlight or a condenser. Normal shooting is a point light source. Reduce the sensitivity and aperture, and the ambient light should be absolutely dark to ensure that the slow door can be used. The speed is between 1-30 seconds. Holding a point light source, keep moving the light to shine on the subject, and make sure everything is illuminated. Moving the light source quickly can get uniform illumination, so you can get the effect of surface light source with point light source.
