Achievements of Beijing Pinggu Middle School

Since September 2007, Pinggu Middle School has been identified as a municipal pilot school for the new curriculum reform of ordinary senior high schools in Beijing and a national defense student source base school in Beijing. The school has been rated as "Advanced Collective of Continuing Education in Pinggu District during the Tenth Five-Year Plan", "Advanced Collective of Physical Education, Art and Science and Technology Education in Pinggu District", "Advanced Unit of Mental Health Education and Advanced Collective of Education in 2008", "Good School of Legal Education in Pinggu District", Model School of Education Quality in 2008-2009, "Beijing Health Promotion School" and "Beijing Demonstration School of Information Technology Education in Primary and Secondary Schools". Primary and secondary schools in Beijing are "advanced schools to implement the School Physical Education Regulations" and national-level "model schools for standardization of language and writing", and the general party branch of the school has been rated as "model party branch of Pinggu District Education System".

In 2009, the passing rate of national examination was over 95%, the passing rate of undergraduate college entrance examination was 82.27%, and the passing rate of junior college entrance examination was over 99%, making a historic breakthrough. In recent years, more than 100 people have been admitted to famous universities such as Peking University, Tsinghua, People's Congress, Zhejiang University, Nankai University and Fudan University.

Since its establishment, the school has tens of thousands of graduates, 58 of whom have been admitted to famous universities such as Peking University and Tsinghua. Many graduates have become backbones in the fields of education, scientific research, medicine and art, among which Oracle Bone Inscriptions expert Wang Yuxin, satellite designer Zhou Zhicheng, foreign ambassadors and historians are outstanding.
