The history of Manof Normal University in Dracon can be traced back to 1834, when the school was called Teachers College. 1992 was changed to Manof Normal University in Dracon, and 1997 was qualified as a university for nationalities.

Today, Drakonmanov Normal University is one of the centers of normal education and culture in Ukraine.

The school has a strong faculty, with 705 teachers, including 46 professors and doctors and 372 associate professors and doctors. The school provides multi-level education programs: bachelor, expert, master, associate doctor and doctor. The school's main majors are: preschool education, elementary education, human health, practical psychology, visual arts, technical education, vocational education, special education, psychology, social education, social work, physical education, philosophy, culture, design, advertising and public relations, music, director, history, Ukrainian language and literature, publishing and editing, and translation.
