Introduction to the movie Chuntao?

In the northern countryside in the 1930s, a young girl named Chuntao married Li Mao, but they were separated by bandits on their wedding night. Li Mao's whereabouts were unknown, and Chuntao had to flee to Peking alone. On the way, he met refugee Liu Xianggao. The two lived in the same room, depended on each other, and made a living by picking up rags. One day three years later, Chuntao met Li Mao, who was begging on the street, and learned that he was captured to be a young man and later lost his legs in a melee between warlords.
