The stage is 8m high,12m wide and 7m deep. On both sides are couplets written by dramatists Weng Ouhong and Liu Bingsen. There are eight large Peking Opera masks and 14 Peking Opera painted screens around the auditorium, and there are three 800-seat ticketing areas, which are similar to the traditional old theater customs. Audiences can enjoy traditional Chinese opera performances and taste various Beijing snacks and famous teas. In the exhibition hall, there is a display of the development history of Beijing opera for more than 200 years. In the exhibition hall, you can buy Beijing opera handicrafts and souvenirs, and you can also wear costumes and draw faces as a souvenir. The main audience of the theater is foreign tourists, and the plays are mainly discounted plays. The audience hall has an electronic display screen, which can display Chinese and English lyrics. Former South Korean President Kim Dae-jung, former Japanese Prime Minister Junshu Kaibu and Estonian President Lennart Meri all enjoyed performances here.

Liyuan Theatre is the first art hall in Beijing jointly operated by Beijing Qianmen Hotel and Beijing Peking Opera Theatre. There is a performance hall in the venue, where the Beijing Peking Opera Troupe, which enjoys a high reputation all over the world, performs every night, with a strong lineup and a wide range of plays. The stage decoration of the theater is antique. There is a huge face on the wall of the audience hall, and there are 14 screens of Peking Opera characters behind it. There are square tables and armchairs in the front area, which are simple and elegant and have a strong flavor of Beijing opera. There are row chairs in the back area and on the second floor, and tea, dried and fresh fruits and so on are provided during the performance.

Liyuan Theater has become a business card for Beijing tourism. Just like visiting the Forbidden City and eating roast duck, it is a special project that should not be missed.
