Zhang Wenjie was born in August 1940 in Beijing and is a researcher. His main academic expertise is Western historical philosophy, and he is currently engaged in research on Western historical philosophy. Graduated from the History Department of Nankai University in July 1964. From August 1964 to present, he has been working in the Institute of Philosophy of our college. His main representative works include: "Critical Biographies of Famous Contemporary Western Philosophers" (editor-in-chief), "Toynbee on Confucius and Confucianism" (thesis), "What is the Significance of Studying Toynbee?" (thesis), "The Concept of History" (editor) Translation), "Russell on History" (co-translation), "Understanding of Others and Their Lives" (translation), "A Brief Essay on Collingwood's Theory of Historical Re-enactment" (paper), etc.
