Considering the level of turboization, keeping up with L 15B7 is the right way! So, when I received the interview invitation, I really felt full of expectations. On the day of the interview at the store, from the appearance, this turbo Fit (GK) still maintained its original style (like one, I like this style, unassuming, restrained, and speaking by strength). However, if the turbocharger kit is to be installed, a series of optimizations and upgrades must be made to the engine components and peripheral components.

First of all, the choice of turbine fuselage, the store chose TD-04 turbine produced by Mitsubishi, which is more durable and stable. At present, there are probably three most common turbine brands in the refitting industry: Garrett (generally numbered GT), Mitsubishi (generally numbered TD) and IHI Ishikawa Island Hiroshi (generally numbered VF). As for the KKK (Kxx) that the Shenche refitting party often said. Generally speaking, Garrett attaches importance to technological innovation, Mitsubishi emphasizes stability and durability, and IHI emphasizes extreme performance, so it has its own huge fan base in different needs. However, in order to play a practical role in power improvement, the size of the turbine end interface in the turbine body needs to be installed and matched with the cylinder head with integrated exhaust to a certain extent. Therefore, the store made an exhaust head to solve the problem, and also made an intercooler intake pipe. At the same time, the turbine pressure is set to 0.7-0.8 bar with the help of ECU computer modified by Japanese HKS brand. Faced with such a supercharging value, the original injector is no longer competent (increasing compressed air and increasing intake air will lead to dilution of air-fuel ratio). Therefore, the following is a reconstruction project to increase the fuel injector. Of course, the more popular way abroad is to use the fuel injector of K24 engine or directly find modified products with different fuel injection quantity. On the other hand, it also reflects that the internal rigidity of the original 1.5-liter L 15B engine also has a good performance (can the Civic of the same generation have a more impressive performance? )。 In addition, in order to prevent the high-speed pressurized gas from damaging the throttle valve to a certain extent, the mall also installed an intake pressure reducing valve of HKS in the intake pipe for protection.

In addition, the exhaust part was specially replaced by the full-face exhaust made by the store. Considering that the exhaust volume will increase after the turbocharger is installed, the size of the exhaust pipe can no longer be set with reference to the exhaust volume of the original1.5L15b engine (the original exhaust pipe diameter is 42mm), but it is found in the actual measurement that the exhaust pipe diameter is enlarged to 6 1mm to improve the exhaust efficiency. It is necessary to know that the exhaust pulse and exhaust flow have been reduced after the external connection of the turbine. Once the diameter of the exhaust pipe cannot be met, back pressure will be formed on the fan blades on the exhaust side of the turbine, and the natural power output will be greatly reduced. As for the direction of the upgraded exhaust pipe, it can simplify the subsequent loading process compared with the original pipe design.

If I want to supercharge, the diameter of the exhaust pipe can be slightly enlarged, but if I want to go to the turbine, the pipe diameter will be exquisite, too thick and too thin. Changing the exhaust is really not a person. Here's what I did.

Generally speaking, the fitting (GK) of the outer turbine is not only completed by installing the turbocharger body, but also the surrounding reinforcements need to be in place. As for the power performance after the upgrade that everyone cares about, the author also consulted the store. Although I don't know the maximum torque value, the maximum horsepower on the wheel is 190, which instantly reminds me that there are more than 200 horsepower on the axle. Holy shit. .......

In terms of heat dissipation performance, the water-cooled intercooler body (a rare choice in the industry) is adopted, so that the air entering the cylinder contains more oxygen to help combustion. Although the cooling effect of water cooling is more effective than that of air cooling, the weight factor is also a problem worthy of attention. In addition, the engine temperature will increase relatively after turbocharging, so the modified large water tank can have more cooling liquid to exchange heat with the cold air outside in unit time, which improves the heat dissipation performance, so that the pressure value of the water tank cover 1. 1 Bar is enough. In the oil part, an oil cooler is added to help the durability and lubricity of the turbocharged engine to a certain extent.

As for whether to choose a thermostat, it depends on the upgrade range. Remember not to take this link lightly.

Facing the power data of 190 horses on wheels, it is also necessary to modify and upgrade the transmission part and chassis part.

In the transmission part, the Japanese EXEDY clutch is used to replace the original clutch to prevent slipping and low transmission efficiency after high power lifting. This turbo third-generation Fit (GK) is also equipped with CUSCO's LSD limited slip differential. The use of this component is believed to be familiar to all racetrack players. Especially when cornering, the locking rate set inside LSD (besides the common locking rates of 1Way, 1.5Way and 2Way, there are other different locking rates) can reduce the slip of the driving wheel, and in extreme cases, the tire grip can be used up more effectively, thus improving the lap speed. When used in ordinary city streets, it can also improve the grip of driving wheel tires and reduce the situation of out of control when it rains and is muddy.

Figure: Tooth-twist shock absorber kit is a very enthusiastic project for many refitted players, but it is too one-sided to say that it is a representative of improving the handling of the whole vehicle. After all, improving vehicle handling involves many aspects.

As for the level of control, the store chose BC for it? Racing-BR series shock absorber kit, and improve the handling performance by matching the front/rear anti-roll bar. In the cognition of many modified players at present, it is considered that a single upgrade of high-performance shock absorber kit is the representative of improving the handling of the whole vehicle. Actually, it's not. At best, it is to strengthen the body support (a lot of springs K) and slow down the rollover phenomenon. However, if the rollover of the car body is large (or there is a horizontal difference in suspension height), the self-deformation suppression without anti-roll bar will lead to the decline of tire tracking when cornering. To this end, upgrading the two at the same time and using them together will definitely play a better role.

Figure: According to the author's previous understanding, in general, the torsion beam non-independent suspension does not need to be equipped with a rear anti-roll bar, but it may be due to the lack of rigidity of the torsion beam non-independent suspension in the third generation Fit (GK) factory, so the store added a rear anti-roll bar for later reinforcement.

As for the brake part, the original GK brake system is actually not bad, but after replacing the 16 inch rim, only 260mm brake discs are really unbearable. Since they have all been changed, it is better to put on an excellent brake kit directly. I believe this is also the way of thinking of the modified car owner. Indeed, a good set of multi-piston brake kits can make braking efficiency higher and cooperate with tires with better grip, which can really be said to be twice the result with half the effort. Remember, a good braking system must have good tire coordination to be effective. I've seen many riders. The braking system has always been six pistons and eight pistons, and the rims are 19 inch and 20 inch, but the tires are actually standard tires. Why is this? If I simply compare the caliper kit with the high-performance tire, I will resolutely choose the tire. After all, rolling friction and sliding friction are still used to stop the vehicle when braking. There is no black technology for such physical common sense.

Toyo is used for loading? DRB tire, one-way tread pattern and large-area tire block can add points to handling and grip. Although it is not as good as hot-melt tire and R tire (semi-hot-melt tire), if it is placed on rainy days and slippery roads, then the author supports the owner to choose Toyo. In the practice of DRB tire, at least several drainage grooves and patterns on the tread can break the water film, so as to have enough braking friction and "keep alive" when braking.

There are few changes in the interior. Only when the Defi plug-in instrument is installed in the center console can we know the turbocharging value and detect the actual working condition of the turbine body after loading. Then there is the RECARO racing-style bucket chair in the main driver's seat. The depth of the bucket chair and the lumbar support on both sides have good wrapping in fierce driving, followed by the four-point seat belt with Sparco. Compared with the original steering wheel with airbag, the author firmly believes that seat belts do provide security on the track. After that, there were not many changes, so the original interior decoration level can be considered to be quite high.
