The couple were soon discovered. Baksheev, 35, and his wife Natalya, 43, work at a local military aviation school and live in the school's dormitories. Police immediately searched their room. The scene was trembling beyond description. In this room, bodies were frozen and dismembered, and inside were various plastic bags containing human remains. There are also glass jars and preserved human skin. Not only that, Baksheyev has been killing and eating since 1999 and was involved in murders involving seven people.

According to an investigation, neither of them were mentally ill.
