Shi Jin is from Huayin County, Huazhou, Shaanxi Province. He is the eldest son of Shi Taigong in Shijiazhuang. The origin of Shi Jin:

Shi Jin is one of the thirty-six leaders of Song Jiang's subordinates in Yuan Anonymous's The Legacy of Xuanhe in the Great Song Dynasty. During the Song and Yuan Dynasties, Gong Kai wrote in "Song Jiang Thirty-six Praises": "Kowloon has made progress in history, and the number of dragons is nine, so you have nine articles. Steal the emperor and drive the colorful clouds. " These two literary works are both recognized as the embryonic form or blueprint of Water Margin and the early source of Shi Jin's image.
