The theme of this cultural festival is Tanabata Night, which is divided into three sections: characteristic Tanabata, romantic Tanabata and interesting Tanabata. There will be a special tribute exhibition of "Inheriting Ingenuity", a water town memory exhibition of "Wang Xi Impression", an intangible cultural heritage market tasting in Dongguan, an evening show in Chinese Valentine's Day and a romantic Wang Xi.

During the activity, the teaching achievements of "Made in Tanabata Tribute Table" by Tanabata Tribute Table and No.2 Kindergarten, which were carefully created by Wangniudun Village No.21 Middle School, will be displayed in the town cultural square. The tribute case follows the tradition, and also pays attention to keeping pace with the times, bringing forth the new, injecting more modern elements, and paying attention to the combination of dynamic and static, showing the grand occasion and exquisite skills of the Wangniudun folk begging tribute case to tourists.

According to the usual practice, a tidbit opening ceremony will be held on Tanabata on August 6th. At that time, the party will kick off in the form of song and dance performances, and a lantern festival will be held. The theme of the party is romantic love, while highlighting the spirit and character of "Niu", showing the excellent qualities and spiritual outlook of Wangniudun people, such as loyalty, dedication, diligence and courage, as well as their yearning and pursuit for a better life.

It is worth mentioning that the Dongguan Intangible Cultural Heritage Fair was held for the first time this year, and inheritors such as Wancao weaving skills, Chashan dolls, Shilong lion head making skills and Xiansha fish balls were invited to show their skills on the spot, which increased the festive atmosphere and made tourists feel the traditional culture of Dongguan better.

In addition, Mr. Chen Jiefang, the provincial inheritor of "Qiao Qi Culture" in Wangniudun, will also teach Tanabata Tribute Table's handicraft making, so as to stimulate tourists' interest in making tribute cases and better inherit this traditional folk craft.
