History of running a school

Zhejiang Media College is a university approved by the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government and the State Administration of Radio and Television, and it is a high-level communication university with distinctive industry characteristics. Zhejiang Radio and Television School was founded in 1978, and Zhejiang Radio and Television College was founded in 1984. In 2000, the two schools merged to form a new Zhejiang Radio and Television College, which was upgraded to Zhejiang Media College in 2004.

In 20021year, the school was successfully approved as a master's degree-granting unit and three master's degree authorization points, and the renaming of the school was successfully incorporated into the "14 th Five-Year Plan" of Zhejiang Province.

The school has two campuses, Qiantang in Hangzhou and Wuzhen in Tongxiang, covering an area of 1.305 mu with a total construction area of 642,000 square meters. There are 16 secondary colleges (departments and centers) with more than 4500 students and about 1400 staff.
