Whether you are a local in Henan or a foreigner, you will come to Yuntai Mountain to take a look when you travel to Henan. Yuntai Mountain can be said to be the most beautiful place in Henan Province, and it is also the most expensive place to visit. Although it is expensive, it is well worth a visit.

Yuntai Mountain is located in Xiuwu County, Jiaozuo City, 70 kilometers away from Zhengzhou. Yuntai Mountain includes eight major scenic areas, including Zifang Lake, Zhuyu Peak, Quanpu Gorge, Tanpu Gorge, Diecai Cave, Macaque Valley, Zifang Lake, and Wanshan Temple. Yuntai Mountain is one of the world's first batch of world geological parks, national scenic spots, first batch of national 5A scenic spots, national natural heritage, national forest park, national macaque nature reserve, and national water conservancy scenic spot.

Yuntai Mountain has been on CCTV many times, twice in 2020 alone. So how should we visit the beautiful Yuntai Mountain?

Departing from Zhengzhou at 7 o'clock in the morning, arriving at the Yuntai Mountain ticket office at about 9 o'clock, the ticket is 120 yuan + 60 yuan for transportation, the total is 180 yuan.

At 9:25, we arrived at Hongshi Gorge, the first core attraction of Yuntai Mountain. Our trip started from Hongshi Gorge.

Hongshi Gorge is also known as Wenpan Valley. The canyon is 68 meters deep underground. It is beautiful, quiet, majestic and dangerous. It is known as the "Bonsai Canyon". The temperature here remains at more than ten degrees all year round, which is truly warm in winter and cool in summer. Hongshi Gorge is a one-way road, there is no turning back the whole way. The total length of Hongshi Gorge is 2,000 meters, and the tour time is 80 minutes.

The red stones in Hongshixia attract many people to take pictures here. The red stones are formed because they contain iron ions, and the iron ions are oxidized to form red stones.

After coming out of Hongshi Gorge, we will pass by Zifang Lake. Zifang Lake is named after Zhang Liang (also known as Zifang) lived in seclusion here during the Han Dynasty. The total length of Zifang Lake is 4,000 meters, and the deepest point is about 65 meters. In June 2002, the peach blossom jellyfish was discovered in the lake for the first time. The peach blossom jellyfish is known as the "giant panda in the water." The peach blossom jellyfish was first born 650 million years ago and is named after its shape, which resembles the petals of a peach blossom.

After walking through Zifang Lake, the Hongshi Gorge attraction ends here. Go up the steps to the bus stop and take the bus, return to the shore service area for dinner, and in the afternoon, go to Xiaozhaigou Scenic Area.

It takes 25 minutes by car from the shore service area to Xiaozhaigou Scenic Area.

Also known as Xiaozhaigou, it is called the "Jiuzhaigou" in the north. There is a spring every three steps, a waterfall every five steps, and a pool every ten steps, just like the south of the Yangtze River, so people gave it a nickname It's called Tanbauchuan. There are small landscapes such as the Fountain of Youth, Slimming Stone, Yazi Waterfall, and Sword Testing Stone in Tanpu Gorge.

The total length of Tanpu Gorge is 2,000 meters, and the tour time is about 80 minutes. It is a U-shaped road, and finally returns to the starting point.

Also known as Laotangou, this scenic spot is most famous for the Yuntai Waterfall. The Yuntai Waterfall has a drop of 314 meters, making it the largest waterfall in Asia. However, the relationship with Shanxi has not been good in recent years, and the upstream water supply has been cut off. The current water volume of Yuntai Waterfall is very small, resulting in fewer and fewer tourists going to Quanpu Gorge.

The total length of Quanpu Gorge is 3 kilometers, and the tour time is 2 and a half hours. You can go back the same way.

This is where the Taihang macaques are located. You will see a lot of monkeys here. The monkeys in Taihang Mountain are different from the monkeys elsewhere. The monkeys in Taihang Mountain are more beautiful and good at rock climbing. There is a macaque performance inside on the hour, which is free to watch.

The tour time in Macaque Valley is 40 minutes, and if you watch the macaque performance, it will be an hour.

You can stay in the shore service area at night. There are many farmhouses in the shore service area, and you can meet all your needs for food, accommodation and entertainment.
