Prose: Appreciating Lotus in the Rain

I like lotus because it is one of the top ten famous flowers in China. Lotus is also called Lotus, Lotus, Bihuan, Yuhuan, whipple and Shuifurong. People often refer to unopened buds as lotus flowers, and the flowers that have been opened as whipple hibiscus flowers, which are known as "out of mud but not stained, clear ripples but not evil" and "gentlemen in flowers". Throughout the ages, lotus has always been favored by literati, and there are countless poems praising her, which are also the painting themes that painters are extremely keen on.

Every summer comes, I will go to the nearby national parks and Sui and Tang Botanical Gardens to enjoy the lotus flowers. Whether it is sunny, rainy or hot, I can't stop my enthusiasm and determination to appreciate the lotus.

I remember that in July that year, just after the children had their summer vacation, my mother came from her hometown in the countryside to live with two nieces. I seldom went back to my hometown in menstruation, and my children rarely came all the way, especially my niece, who studied well and was smart. I love it very much, so I discussed with my mother to take two children to the national garden when the weather is not too hot on weekends. Not only is the place big, but there is also a large lawn with dense trees and good air. There is a big artificial lake in it, and the scenery is good. There are large areas of blooming lotus flowers in the water.

It's a cool morning. We had breakfast at home, packed our things and went out happily with our mother and two nieces. Walk through the spacious asphalt road and take the bus. We came to China National Garden. After entering the park gate, we saw many tourists, some strolling, some boxing, some dancing, and a beautiful little girl playing this beautiful cucurbit silk. We don't have time to stop and go directly to the artificial lake.

When I came to the edge of the lotus pond, from a distance, the green lotus leaves stretched as far as the eye can see, extending all the way to the distance where the water and the sky meet. Under the sunlight, the lotus is particularly bright and red. A faint fragrance floated out of the pond with the wind, which suddenly made people feel refreshed. The breeze blew and the lotus leaves danced happily. This reminds me of a poem by Yang Wanli in the Southern Song Dynasty, "The lotus leaves are infinitely blue the next day, and the lotus flowers reflect differently in the sun."

"In summer, children change their faces when they say it." . Just as we were having fun, the sky suddenly changed. Just now, the sky was clear and white clouds were fluttering in Wan Li. After a while, the sky was quietly covered with gray-black clouds, covering the sun.

"It's going to rain, find a place quickly," mom said.

"Next! Go down! " I said to myself. I like to enjoy the lotus flowers in the rain. The lotus leaves are so green that there must be scenery.

Just then, a gust of wind blew, followed by lightning and thunder.

"It's raining!" The eldest niece gave a cry, and we all ran to the gazebo to find a place to sit down and shelter from the rain. After a while, a heavy rain really blew down.

Looking from the pavilion, I saw the dense rain curtain hanging on the lotus leaf, forming round water drops on the lotus leaf, like glittering pearls rolling in an emerald dish, gradually condensing into crystal balls, shaking left and right in the lotus leaf. A gust of wind blew, and the crystal ball finally poured down from the lotus leaf and fell into the lotus pond, splashing a string of water drops.

Summer rain, when it comes, comes and goes. After about forty minutes of rain, the rain stopped, the clouds dispersed and the sun smiled again. In the lotus pond after the rain, the lotus leaves were washed by the rain, and condensed on the water like green transparent plates. Those lotus leaves that were exposed to the water were exposed to the water in large chunks, which set off the graceful lotus flowers. A gust of wind blew, lotus leaves and lotus leaves collided with each other, and pale pink flower arrows were in bud. Hard-working bees and dragonflies came to join in the fun. Xiao He just showed his sharp corner, and the dragonfly had already stood on his head.

Opposite the lotus pond, a girl took a photo of the lotus with a camera. Behind her, a middle-aged lady held an umbrella to protect her from the hot sun after the rain, just like a lotus leaf caring for He Lei. Their images are integrated with lotus leaves and lotus flowers to form a beautiful picture. Isn't this the most beautiful scenery I'm looking for? I adjusted the focal length and aperture of the camera and left this wonderful moment.

Watching lotus in the rain is different in peacetime, and it looks more poetic!
