Winter Is it suitable to travel to Zhangjiajie?
Zhangjiajie is very cold in winter. When traveling to Zhangjiajie, many tourists are worried about the big weather changes in Zhangjiajie and are hesitant. The actual situation is also the same. The winter in Zhangjiajie is different from the winter in the north. Yes, the temperature is actually about 0 degrees Celsius, but it feels very cold. Naturally, the number of tourists in Zhangjiajie has greatly reduced in winter. Is winter in Zhangjiajie not suitable for tourism? The answer is no. In fact, winter in Zhangjiajie is the most charming season. Of course, it depends on the luck of the tourists. Snow is not common in Zhangjiajie in winter. If the temperature is low, it will usually rain in the urban area of ??Zhangjiajie. Or it might be snowing at the top of Tianmen Mountain, and the temperature difference between the scenic spot and the urban area is 5-6 degrees Celsius. Although the weather is colder, you will be lucky if you encounter snow. The bigger the snow, the better! In winter, go to Zhangjiajie to see the snow scene, gather around the Tujia fire and taste the fragrant Tujia bacon, listen to the touching folk songs of Zhangjiajie, and dance the Tujia hand-waving dance to the exciting drumbeats. What a pleasant trip is this? Here are some suggestions for you, I hope it can help you with your winter travel in Zhangjiajie! 1. There are relatively few tourists in Zhangjiajie in winter. It is necessary to choose a satisfactory hotel. Many hotels in Zhangjiajie do not have perfect service facilities in winter. Please be sure to ask for a hotel with good air conditioning, at least in the guest rooms! The housing institutions in Zhangjiajie are not as sophisticated as those in the north, especially those in the north who may not be used to it. We recommend staying in a hotel in Zhangjiajie city. Relatively speaking, hotels in Zhangjiajie city have a higher occupancy rate in winter, and the air-conditioning facilities must be fully operational! Although you choose a high-star hotel in Zhangjiajie Scenic Area, if there are not many tourists staying in the hotel, the discount on air conditioners will be huge. However, some hotels use split air conditioners which are still quite good! 2. Since it is the off-season, the discounts on Zhangjiajie hotels, transportation, Zhangjiajie tourist routes, etc. are naturally very attractive.
Tickets for various attractions in Zhangjiajie will have certain discounts. Please pay close attention to the announcements on the Zhangjiajie tourism website. All hotels, hotels, transportation, Zhangjiajie travel agencies, etc. have off-season promotional prices, and the greatest discounts will be given during this period. 3. The time arrangement must be reasonable. It is recommended not to arrange a very tight schedule. The time should be relaxed and you would rather visit less places! The travel roads in Zhangjiajie in winter are relatively slippery, and body movements are relatively slow. For your safety, it is recommended that you do not rush to travel. The more relaxed the time, the better! 4. The itinerary should be arranged reasonably and do not arrange for very remote scenic spots. There are not many people in Zhangjiajie in winter. It is recommended that you take a regular itinerary. The safety facilities of the scenic spots in the regular itinerary are intact, and the safety factor in remote places is lower! For example, Huangshi Village, Yuanjiajie, Tianzi Mountain, Shili Gallery, Baofeng Lake, Huanglong Cave, Tianmen Mountain, etc. 5. Pay close attention to the weather forecast in Zhangjiajie before departure. If it were me, it would be better to travel to Zhangjiajie during the winter when there is a big cold wave! Only if you really see the snowy scenery of Zhangjiajie in winter is this trip worthwhile!
I plan to travel to Zhangjiajie at the end of January 2017. Will there be snow?

Go to Zhangjiajie to see the snow in winter
In the eyes of many people, Zhangjiajie has entered the off-season for tourism as soon as December arrives. However, in recent years, travel friends have announced that the scenery in Zhangjiajie is actually more beautiful in winter: you can wander in the silver forest, stroll in the simple and elegant Fenghuang Ancient City, or indulge in the warm Jiangya Imperial Hot Spring. In addition, the price is also more affordable.
In order to develop winter tourism resources in Zhangjiajie, Hunan, the Zhangjiajie Tourism Department will designate Zhangjiajie Cultural Heritage Week from December 24 to December 29. The 248 yuan ticket to Zhangjiajie is free during these 7 days.
I have long heard about the four major scenic spots in Hunan Province: Zhangjiajie, Tianzi Mountain, Suoxiyu and Yangjiajie. Their beautiful scenery has long been famous at home and abroad. Now, another scenic spot with wonderful scenery, Yuanjiajie, also located in Wulingyuan, is revealed to the world again. Recently, I had the honor to witness with my own eyes this paradise on earth with its beautiful rocks and peaks, dangerous cliffs and secluded gorges.
Yuanjiajie is located between Zhangjiajie and Tianzi Mountain, with an altitude of more than 1,000 meters. Surrounded by steep walls and overhanging rocks, it stands in the Wuling Mountains, just like a high platform protruding from the flat ground, which is majestic. However, it only took me two minutes to get from the foot of the mountain to Yuanjiajie! Don't mistakenly think that I own "Scud", I actually ride the Bailong Sightseeing Elevator. Speaking of Bailong Ladder, it can be said to be a perfect combination of natural landscape and man-made miracles.
Bailong Ladder is located in the Shuirao Simen Scenic Area in Zhangjiajie, a world natural heritage site. It is unique in the world with three laurels: "the world's highest fully exposed outdoor elevator", "the world's highest double-decker sightseeing elevator", and "the world's largest and fastest passenger elevator". The Bailong Elevator is majestic, with a vertical height difference of 335 meters and a running height of 326 meters. The main body is composed of a 154-meter mountain shaft and a 172-meter mountain-mounted steel structure. It uses three double-layer fully exposed sightseeing elevators to operate in parallel and split, successfully connecting the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Jinbian Stream, Shuirao Simen, Yuanjiajie's First Bridge in the World, Wulong Village, Tianzi Mountain and other golden attractions have become important tourist transportation facilities in the scenic area, greatly shortening the original time of more than four hours. hiking trail. People move with the ladder, and the ladder travels with the mountain, and the field of vision becomes wider and wider. The blue sky, white clouds, strange peaks and fairy mist make people full of enthusiasm. In less than two minutes, the beautiful scenery of Yuanjiajie came into view.
About 800 meters eastward, there is a small road winding southward to the Wuyanding platform. Standing on the platform and looking around, you can have a panoramic view of thousands of scenes. There are rock peaks and stone pillars with strange shapes and wonderful shapes. It happened to be a good opportunity for the sky to clear up after the rain. I saw light clouds and light mist floating among the peaks from time to time. But I saw the mountains moving and the peaks lurking, just like the jade towers and jade pavilions, disappearing and appearing. For a moment, I felt obsessed and unaware of where I was. Where to live. I finally understand why this place is known as the "Ecstasy Tower". Try to stand on the cliff of "Ecstasy Terrace", just like "people are walking on the wall and clouds are floating under their feet."
This is not the most beautiful scenery. Traveling along the top edge of the cliff, you can see a natural stone bridge flying over the top of the two peaks. It is majestic and magnificent. This is also known as "Couple Rock". The "No. 1 Bridge in the World" in Zhangjiajie. The No. 1 Bridge in the World is a natural stone bridge located along the Shadaogou Tourist Route and is one of Zhangjiajie’s most important attractions.
Through the uncanny workmanship of nature, a natural stone slab only 3 meters wide and about 5 meters thick is suspended and embedded between the two peaks, cleverly connecting the east and west peaks. The bridge is 20 meters long, has a span of about 50 meters, and a relative height of nearly 400 meters. It is the tallest stone bridge in Zhangjiajie. It is called the "No. 1 Bridge in the World" because of its height, span and thrills that are rare in the world. The pines on the bridge are tall and tall, and the clouds and mist are rippling under the bridge, and the abyss is endless. Surrounded by cliffs, water droplets splashed. Stepping onto the bridge, you can't help but feel like you are flying in the air and riding the wind. Holding on to the iron railings and looking up, the green peaks appear misty in the mist. Looking down, the strange peaks are like groups of bamboo shoots, and bursts of mist appear in the deep valleys of the rocks, scattering and regrouping. The No. 1 Bridge in the World is also hung with many concentric locks of infatuated men and women.
Climbing up to the higher bridge viewing platform next to it, I saw a wisp of spring water floating down from the top of the cliff more than 200 meters high under the shade of green pines, as if a white long-haired horse fell from the sky. The waterfall is next to a deep pool, with green water and mist, and the bridge hangs over the cliff. It is majestic, steep and shocking. It really deserves the name of "Tianxuan Bailian".
At the junction of Zhongping and Xiaping in Yuanjiajie, there is a hidden landscape called the "back garden". Tourists were walking down the bamboo jungle between the cliffs when they were suddenly blocked by a stone wall. Just when I was doubting that there was no way out, I saw a hole in the cliff, a white stone shaped like a full moon, and passed through the door. I saw dozens of strange peaks standing in the deep dark green stream in front of my eyes. In the green valley, there are clusters of stone peaks, lingering streams, towering ancient trees, and cold clouds covering the ground. It looks like a natural bonsai from a high altitude. There are hundreds of stone peaks, high into the clouds, low lying on the ground, rising and falling, complementing each other.
