Director Li Jun was engaged in literary and artistic work in the Eighth Route Army and the People's Liberation Army before liberation. 195 1 started to work in Bayi film studio, 1959 started to be a feature film director. 1974, his Sparkling Red Star became a masterpiece. Although his works did not intersect with director Li Jun, his childhood memories made him sad about the death of director Li Jun.

Li Jun won the director award of China Film Century Award.
