Clinical symptoms of duck plague:

(2) The autopsy lesions are mainly in the digestive tract, that is, there may be necrosis around the mouth and throat, striped ulcers in the esophagus, bleeding or ulcers in the cloacal mucosa, bleeding rings in the small intestine, and bleeding in the heart. spots, slight swelling, congestion and bleeding spots in the liver.

Preventive and control measures:

Comprehensive measures: Do not introduce breeding ducks from epidemic areas. If they must be introduced, they must be strictly quarantined and isolated. After raising them for 2 weeks and proving to be healthy, they can be mixed with the original duck group. Healthy ducks are prohibited from grazing in areas where duck plague is endemic. Regularly use 10% milk of lime or 5% bleach solution to preventively disinfect the duck house and its utensils.

Once duck plague occurs, the duck population should be quickly quarantined and measures such as comprehensive blockade, isolation, disinfection and emergency vaccination should be adopted.

2. Treatment

Each sick duckling is urgently injected with duck serum-duck antiviral, and the duckling (10 days old or less than 150 grams in weight) is injected subcutaneously in the chest with 0.8 to 1% ml, adult ducks (more than 10 days old or weighing more than 150 grams) should be injected with 1 to 1.5 ml for 2 to 3 days. The poultry antiviral drug first-aid interferon can also be added to the feed or drinking water, and each duck should drink 50 ml of water. 800 adult birds and 1,000 young birds can generally drink water once. If the condition is serious, drink water for 2 days, once a day. The effect is remarkable. This method has a cure rate of 90% to 96.1% for duck plague prevention and treatment. In order to prevent bacterial infection, each duckling can be intramuscularly injected with 1,000 to 2,000 units of gentamicin, once in the morning and once in the evening, for 2 to 3 days to help enhance physical fitness and restore physical fitness.
