Legal basis:
Article 83 of the Civil Procedure Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) stipulates that if an application for extension of the time limit is made, the people's court shall, based on the epidemic situation and the evidence provided by the parties, comprehensively consider whether to grant it or not, and protect the litigation rights of the parties according to law. The people's court shall grant permission if the party concerned is a confirmed patient in COVID-19, a suspected patient in COVID-19, an asymptomatic infected person and a close contact, and applies for an extension of the time limit during the legal isolation period.
