Fudao, with a total length of 19 km and an entrance of 10, is the first urban landscape ecological leisure and fitness corridor in Fuzhou, which is connected to the plank road of Zuohai Lake in the northeast, Minjiang River in the southwest and crosses the ridges of Xiangshan, Hou Xian, Meifeng Mountain and Jinniu Mountain.
The main body of Fudao is composed of hollow steel tube truss, and the bridge deck is made of grid plates, with the gap within 1.5 cm. The design can not only meet the wheelchair traffic, but also give the plants under the trail the maximum growth space. On the hanging plank road around the ring road, landscape elevators are added for connection to shorten the detour time. At the same time, in order to ensure that tourists can travel back and forth quickly and conveniently, Fudao focuses on connecting the suspended plank road, hiking trail and roadway to form an annular system.
In design, the trail connects more than a dozen natural and cultural landscapes like pearls, such as Dujuan Valley, Sakura Garden, Zizhulin, Cliff and Lanxi. It not only meets the needs of citizens for leisure and fitness, but also is a good place to visit the city.
