Where do the swallows in Shandong go for the winter?

Swallows spend the winter in the warm and humid south. Yan is a typical migratory bird. After breeding, the young birds still follow the adult activities, and gradually integrate into large groups, and move south for the winter before the first cold wave comes.

Swallow is a famous summer migratory bird in China. Migrate to the north in early spring and spread all over the country in summer. Because swallows are used to preying on flying insects in the air, they are not good at searching for food in cracks in trees and ground, and their mouths are particularly sharp. They don't eat other foods, such as berries or flowers and leaves. So when there are no flying insects in winter, swallows can only fly to the south in droves to make a living and go to places with warmer climate.

Swallow's habit

Swallows are mostly active in the air, telephone poles or buildings near residential areas. Resistant to flying, it will fly back and forth when foraging and nesting. When looking for food, they will fly and open their mouths to welcome flying insects into their mouths.

It mainly feeds on small insects, such as mosquitoes and flies, and belongs to beneficial birds. When the temperature drops in autumn, they will fly to the south in droves, and then fly back to the place where they once lived when the flowers bloom the next spring.
