How to adjust the aperture

How to adjust the aperture is definitely a common thing for friends who have been in contact with SLR for a while, but in order to take care of friends who have just come into contact with SLR, let's mention the adjustment steps of aperture. Take Canon 80D as an example:

(1) Use AV, P and M files.

(2) Scroll the dial on the camera.

(3) Or make adjustments on the menu of the display screen.

Importance of aperture adjustment in each mode

(1)P file. That is, the program automatic mode, the camera will automatically adjust the shutter speed and aperture value according to the brightness in the picture. When we need to capture a sudden moment or something, and it is too late to adjust the parameters manually, we can use P file to shoot and get important pictures.

Unlike the automatic file, the P file cannot change the exposure, but it allows you to choose the combination of exposure parameters independently. In the process of shooting, adjusting the aperture size will not change the exposure, which can meet our needs for aperture (or shutter) in more urgent shooting situations.

(2)Av files. Av file, that is, aperture priority, is to set the aperture to a fixed value first, and then the shutter speed will follow the current one.

The ambient light is automatically set by the camera. The significance of adjusting the aperture of Av file is similar to that of P file, and it is also suitable for meeting our needs for aperture in more urgent shooting occasions.

(3)M file. Manual mode, aperture and shutter need to be adjusted manually. This mode is a completely free exposure adjustment mode. You can freely choose various exposure parameters to adjust the exposure. It is the most professional shooting mode.

In M file, adjusting the aperture can naturally meet some scenes that need large aperture or small aperture, but we need to pay attention to adjusting the shutter speed and ISO accordingly to meet the appropriate exposure.
