What are the tourist attractions in Luoyang?

There are many tourist attractions in Luoyang, among which Longmen Grottoes and Baima Temple are the most impressive. Five years ago, I visited these two scenic spots when my father came to Luoyang on business. My feeling is: it's huge and spectacular, which can't be described in words. If you come to Luoyang for the first time, I think these two scenic spots will definitely surprise you! Let's take a look at it with me ~

1. Introduction to Longmen Grottoes

Longmen Grottoes is located at the Longmen Pass in the southern suburbs of Luoyang, 12.5 kilometers away from the urban area. It was excavated from Taihe in the Northern Wei Dynasty for 19 years and has a history of more than 1,5 years. The largest Buddha statue, Lushena Buddha, is 17.14 meters high, and the smallest Buddha statue is only 2 centimeters. It is a treasure of oriental sculpture art.

Longmen Grottoes are world-famous and one of the three famous treasure houses of stone carving art in China. 2. Introduction to Baima Temple

Attractions

Baima Temple, the first ancient temple in China, is a world-famous Galand. Located in Luoyang City, Henan Province, it is the first temple built after Buddhism was introduced into China.

Baima Temple has a history of more than 19 years, and the existing sites and historic sites were left in the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. A large number of dry lacquer statues of the Yuan Dynasty, such as Buddha III, Admiral Ertian and Eighteen Arhats, have been preserved in the temple, which is very precious.

The whole temple has a regular layout and simple style. Outside the temple gate, there are stone archways, releasing ponds and stone arch bridges newly built in recent years in the south of the square, and the left and right sides of them are green spaces. There are two stone horses on the left and right, the size of which is similar to that of a real horse, and the image is gentle and docile. These are two stone horses in the Song Dynasty, which are 1.75 meters tall and 2.2 meters long, bowing their heads and bearing loads.
