How to review for the National Civil Service Examination

After taking the exam twice, I finally transformed from an independent male photographer into a qualified civil servant.

When I was a photographer, sometimes I was too busy, and sometimes I was too idle. Living in the north, there is really nothing to photograph in the winter, but in the off-season, I am extremely idle.

But when the graduation season comes, I am very busy and I am too busy to take any more orders, so during the off-season, I will still take photo shoots, wedding shoots, event shoots, etc. to support myself.

But it was still unstable, and paying for social security by myself was a big expense, so in the end I couldn't stand my parents' earnest words and started preparing for the civil service exam half-heartedly.

Everyone knows that the public examination now has special papers, so I am prepared for a protracted battle.

I applied for a county position for the first time. I scored 79 in the field test and 76 in the essay. I went to the second interview in the written test, but I failed to succeed in the interview.

The second time, I was still in a county position, and it was relatively close to my home. I worked hard and stopped taking jobs two months before the exam. I prepared for the exam full-time. In the end, I scored 83 in the practical test, 79 in the essay, and the overall score. First ashore.

Therefore, when preparing for the national examination, we must not only pay attention to the written test scores, but also pay attention to the interview performance.

Now let me share my review experience with you step by step:

National Examination - Written Examination

1. Exam Preparation Plan

< p>1. Preliminary understanding

Materials: Huatu Module Collection + Real Questions (very detailed! Worth buying)

I read the textbook first and recommend that novices with zero foundation must read it Take a look at the textbook first! Know what you want to learn, so that you will not be afraid of difficulties or have no ideas at all during the preparation process, which will affect the efficiency of preparation.

It is also necessary to do two sets of real questions! Not only can you familiarize yourself with the exam question types, but you can also get a feel for your own level.

I used the textbooks and real test questions from Huatu. To be honest, it is very cost-effective and not too expensive. Basically, the body shape and knowledge points are covered. The answers to the example questions are very good for reference.

2. Listen to the lecture + do the questions + review

Materials: Pan Ming’s national examination course (the first choice for high scores!) + 5000 chalk questions (must do it!) + 100 chalk questions (analysis Great! )

My review order: verbal understanding - logical judgment - data analysis - quantitative relationships - common sense.

I studied the course with Pan Ming. The test focused on knowledge points and problem-solving skills, and the essay focused on materials and extraction of key points. The teacher’s lectures were very organized, and I absorbed them better. I listened to many questions. Will do it when finished.

For example, the sentences that logically fill in the blanks are related to each other and the analytical relationship of analogies. After listening to the teacher, I knew where to start when doing the questions, and the speed improved. In addition, I can quickly practice through the practice of real questions. Avoid pitfalls quickly, and the accuracy rate of the three major blocks is basically above 75%.

I was able to score 8 in the final test mainly because during my second preparation for the test, I passed the quantitative questions carefully twice! All the questions are understood!

Because the accuracy of common sense is too unstable and fluctuates too much, the only way to reach 8 is to focus on quantity~

The main purpose of applying for the essay is to learn the methods and then study the real questions. You must be careful and follow the teacher to learn the materials carefully. I did the real questions on the handout twice, and then I went to study the real questions on my own.

3. Doing questions + listening to lectures + review

After I finished reading all the lectures, I started to do a lot of practice exercises. Review questions to consolidate knowledge points, ensure quality in the early stage, pay attention to analyzing question types, and summarize routines (require 5,000 questions); control the speed in the later stage, focus on methods and skills, and ensure accuracy (refresh the chalk test paper).

In this stage, you need to summarize more! Accumulate and sort out wrong questions! When sorting out, don’t be limited to a certain question, but focus on this type of questions. Don’t find it difficult. If you have too many questions, you will be able to do it. Once you have a feeling, you will gradually summarize it. If you go to attend a class on a topic you are not familiar with, it will suddenly become clear to you.

The summary of thesis is basically done on the answer sheet, because I have been doing the questions on the answer sheet. I first write them with a black pen, then annotate and summarize the key points. I go through each question repeatedly, not only this one. The key points of the questions, and the key points of other questions are becoming more and more comprehensive.

4. Simulate test questions + review

The real test papers are very, very important! Try to simulate the real test questions strictly according to the exam time, and check and fill in the gaps again.

After completing the test paper, correct the answers and analyze the test paper, think from the perspective of the question maker, summarize the test points and routines of the test paper, and record your own test time and score statistics table to form data for easy observation own control.

Friends who have time can do the real test set first, and then the real test set (past years’ real test papers). Regular review of incorrect questions is a must.

Tip:

Be sure to watch the time when practicing! For a verbal question, after 3 minutes of reading, even if you get it right, you will lose. The practical test is a balance between accuracy and speed. We look at the overall situation.

2. Written test preparation experience

1. Verbal comprehension

Including word selection, filling in the blanks and fragment reading.

The focus of word selection and filling in the blanks is to accumulate comparative analysis between frequently tested words and idioms.

Coping strategy: Accumulate common test words during the daily test process, take time to consolidate the memory of wrong questions, and bring them into the context of the real questions for repeated experience.

Fragment reading: When reading a long paragraph of text, first look at the question, compare the differences in options, and finally look at the fragment to quickly help locate the text. The reading method breaks down paragraphs according to the style and explanatory structure to help us quickly find the center of the article and select the answer.

2. Quantity relationship

Often tested include solution dilution, chickens and rabbits in the same cage, travel speed (such as ship water problems), economic profit, cattle eating grass, etc. Learning methods: Strengthen the routine learning of each knowledge point, and learn to translate the words into the quantities in the formula when you see the questions. I did the real questions of the National Examination 2012-2020 three times. The first time I reviewed the questions carefully, the second time I reviewed and redoed the knowledge points of the questions I didn’t know, and the third time I consolidated the wrong questions.

3. Judgmental reasoning

Including deductive reasoning, analogical reasoning and graphic reasoning.

Deductive reasoning includes formal logic and daily logic. It requires mastering question types such as strengthening, weakening, premise, and structural similarity. This type of question is easy to set traps. It is recommended to summarize the traps of each option when doing the questions. Type, in actual combat, the selection of the question maker can be preset.

Use analogical reasoning, summarize more wrong questions, and draw a structural diagram of the first-level test points and the second-level test points to ensure that you have ideas to jump into when you see a pair of words.

Graphic reasoning must ensure that you know the knowledge points to be examined when you see different graphics. Three-dimensional graphics require a certain amount of spatial imagination, but it is not particularly difficult. You can make a stack of paper and find it by yourself. Use a rubber to cut everything or find props online.

4. Data analysis

Data analysis is the best part to improve scores. First, you must memorize each formula, master quick calculation skills, and learn to convert decimals into fractions. You will definitely enjoy the thrill of calculating in minutes.

The second is to learn to review questions quickly and accurately and know the types of questions for data analysis.

The third is to form your own experience about traps, such as mistakes in unit reading, mistakes in finding data, mistakes in reviewing questions, etc. These are all problems that you will often make if you don't summarize by yourself.

National Examination - Interview

For the interview, I mainly listened to lectures and practiced mock exercises. The following is my interview experience.

1. Practicing is more important than listening to lectures

Take a break every week on Monday, and practice three times a day in the morning, noon and evening. Each practice is a set of questions (3-4 hours) question)?, after accumulating, I practiced about a hundred games.

When practicing, you can not only improve your expression skills, but also learn many good ideas from your teammates. After practicing, you can go to the lectures for better results.

In the process of practicing and listening to other people's answers, you can learn or deepen your thinking. With the teacher's explanation, the content will naturally be enriched.

2. High-priced interview classes are possible but not necessary

The interview classes of the three major institutions on the market are not cheap, and the class hours are relatively short. In fact, many of the lessons learned are frameworks. The content is not realistic.

Combined with my real interview questions this year, the anti-template routine is becoming more and more obvious. Without content support, it is difficult to score high.

After learning the basics, the best way is to answer more questions, study more, and enrich the content.

3. Don’t rely on your back during interviews

The feeling of speaking out is completely different from what you memorize.

There are no standard answers in interviews. Just make sense and express what you think.

For example, when it comes to comprehensive analysis and attitudes and opinions, I think I should answer it myself first. After I finish the answer, I can look at the answers or how others have answered them, and learn some points that I think are better. If I can’t understand them myself, If you memorize the points, it will be ineffective, and the answers will be stiff.

4. Personal appearance is very important

This does not mean the type of appearance, as long as the appearance is simple and elegant.

When it comes to the examination room, few people can say that they are not nervous. It is okay to be moderately nervous, but not too nervous. Relax a little and open yourself up.

When I was interviewed, I was in the first group of the day. I was worried that my score would be lowered, but in fact, my score was considered a relatively good score on that day. Of my two teammates, I can tell that they are very nervous. One has a loud voice but I can feel that she has no confidence. The content of the other is okay, but due to nervousness, there are many hand movements and it is easy to get stuck.

I think one of the more important factors for my high score that day is that on the basis of the content fitting the question, I behaved relatively calmly. During the answer process, I made eye contact with the examiner, and my sitting posture They behaved more appropriately and answered questions more fluently.

When most people are highly nervous, as long as you have confidence in your heart, content in your mind, and relax, you have basically won.

——Written at the end:

In fact, whether it is the postgraduate entrance examination or the public examination, it is not an easy path. The public examination is no easier than the postgraduate entrance examination, and the competition is very fierce.

If you have chosen a path, you must stick to it. As long as you persist and work hard, you will always have some good luck.

Thinking of the books I have read, the questions I have answered, and the entertainment time I have given up since preparing for the exam, preparing for the exam from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m....everything is worth it.

Preparing for the exam requires persistence and strict demands on yourself. But don’t forget to exercise well. Only when you are healthy can you prepare for the exam efficiently.

Don’t forget that there are many good friends around you. Chatting and eating with them when you are very tired can adjust your mentality and start the rest of your studies in a happy mood.

Your efforts will pay off in the end.

Come on everyone!
