In the process of volunteering, we should first lock in the best major, and there are two ways to determine the major: discipline specialty method and career planning evaluation method.

The so-called discipline and specialty method refers to the choice of major direction according to students' academic performance:

1. Chinese and foreign language majors

Those who are good at Chinese and foreign languages can apply for Chinese language and literature, Spanish, Chinese as a foreign language, Korean, English language and literature, Japanese, Portuguese news, radio and television director;

2. Mathematics corresponding major

Good mathematics can choose mathematics and applied mathematics, statistics, economics, mathematics and computational science, psychology, economics, finance, international economy and trade, business administration, information management and information system, accounting and other majors;

3. Physics correspondence major

The so-called career planning evaluation method refers to the use of Holland's career interest test, MBTI's personality test and career aptitude test to choose a major:

Everyone has different interest types, different interest characteristics and different favorite directions. Take eating as an example. What do you mean? What you think is delicious may not be delicious to others, and may even be sweet and bitter. So be sure to find out what your child's interests are.

Interest is divided into three levels, the first level is called sensory interest. In other words, what does your vision see? Do you like it? The second level of conscious interest is that children are looking for things and problems themselves, taking the initiative to study, explore and find answers. The third level is interest. When a child finds a career that he loves from the bottom of his heart, he regards it as his future development ambition and makes unremitting efforts for it. This is interest. If a child rises from sensory interest and conscious interest to interest, his future has been planned, as long as he is reminded in time.

Holland's interest test divides people into six types: research type, practice type, convention type, career type, society type and art type.

1. Practical

Like specific tasks, strong mechanical operation ability, like practicality.

Typical occupation: engineer, technician, computer hardware personnel, carpenter, cook, gardener, etc.

Major selection: mechanical design and automation, vehicle engineering, water supply and drainage engineering, surveying and mapping engineering, agricultural mechanization and automation. .

2. Research type

I prefer thinking to action, curiosity, diligence and independence. Good at analysis and reasoning, and can understand abstract concepts well.

Suitable occupation: scientific research worker, biologist, chemist, physicist, geologist, software engineer, etc.

Suitable for majors: mathematics, physics, biology, software technology, material physics and other biology and medicine.

3. Artistic style

Intuition, expressiveness, imagination, creativity, pursuit of aesthetic value, like unrestrained freedom.

Suitable occupation: suitable for writers, artists, photographers, musicians, poets, sculptors, cartoonists, actors, directors, designers, etc.

Suitable for majors: photography, performance, broadcasting and hosting, radio and television director, art, painting, sculpture, industrial design, etc.

4. Social types

I am interested in people, I care about my feelings with others, I am friendly to people, I don't like competition, and I like to help others grow.

Typical occupations: teacher, administrative staff, medical staff, consultant, public relations staff, service staff, welfare agency staff, etc.

Specialty choice: preschool education, special education, administration, public utilities management, labor and social security, rehabilitation medicine, nursing, etc.

5. Type of enterprise

I like adventure and competition, pursue leadership and social influence, have ambition and have the ability of oral persuasion.

Typical occupation: government official, enterprise leader, project manager, salesperson, judge, lawyer.

Teachers, politicians, social activists, etc.

Major choice: human resource management, business administration, investment, national economic management, credit management and other majors.

6. General types

Pay attention to rules and accuracy, cautious personality, like structured and procedural work, like to solve problems with programs, relatively traditional and conservative, do not like new things.

Suitable occupation: accounting, administration, secretary, bank teller, file management, tax administrator, etc.

Suitable for majors: accounting, auditing, archival science, library science, editing and publishing, etc.

Take EC type and CE type as examples. If you want to study finance and economics, EC type is more suitable for studying finance, and ce type is more suitable for studying accounting, although there are both enterprise type and conventional type. If combined with S (social) type, the direction of career development tends to consult and deal with people. If I (study) the combination, I can consider the direction of financial engineering and insurance actuarial. For art candidates, it is generally not suitable to study accounting, library and file management and other conventional majors, because they are difficult to engage in repetitive work and prefer creativity. On the other hand, people who are strong in convention and weak in art are also difficult to innovate.

There is no good or bad major, only suitability. Interest brings concentration and love. Drive learning with interest and discover children's potential from the inside out. At that time, my mother will no longer have to worry about my study.

When I am in contact with students, it is difficult to use the importance of scores to make sense. Only when I really find the students' interests and their advantages can I tell them that the existing grades can enter those schools, and what kind of institutions I like to study in 20 minutes and 40 minutes will often have better grades.

Personality is also an important factor in determining the professional direction. Personality is divided into four dimensions and eight aspects, and the type of 16 is different for everyone. In fact, after you have an interest, you should also analyze whether your personality is suitable. Some children say they like the law. What are their personalities? Outgoing, emotional, idealistic, casual, do you think it is appropriate to study law?

I have a friend who is this type. She studies law. Watching TV plays and listening to songs on weekdays can move her to tears. She also takes special care of other people's feelings and opinions in her daily work. Her ideas are always imaginative, and she often travels. After studying law, she doesn't want to be a lawyer at all Her daily job is to do business in the unit and review contracts. She is not happy at all, and it is difficult to improve her career development.

Physicist Newton belongs to INTJ (introverted, insightful, good at thinking and judging) type. He is good at analyzing, thinking and summarizing, resourceful, and is a typical expert personality. Candidates of the same type are also suitable for doing research work in some specific fields, especially basic theoretical subjects.

The typical ESTJ (extroverted, true feeling, thinking and judgment) type is a natural manager who attaches importance to reality and emphasizes results. For example, Wang Xifeng in A Dream of Red Mansions is this type. She is good at managing affairs and is decisive and direct. This kind of candidates are suitable for management majors, or choose engineering, agronomy, medicine, law, news communication and other majors according to their interests at the undergraduate level, and study management at the postgraduate level. For such candidates, majors are actually not as important as institutions. No matter what their professional background, they are bound to develop in the direction of management. At this time, the platform of colleges and universities is particularly important.

ESFJ (extroversion, true feelings, sensibility and judgment) type is only one yard away from the above ESTJ type, and its personality is very different, which is reflected in the sensibility and rationality in dealing with problems. ESFJ pays more attention to good relations with people and likes to help others in a pragmatic way. Take the profession of teacher as an example, it is more suitable for ESFJ.

As far as the major choice of science and engineering candidates is concerned, S-shaped candidates are more practical. If simple division is more inclined to engineering, N-type candidates often have strong insight and good understanding of abstract concepts, which is more suitable for the virtual major direction in science or engineering.

Ability is also an important factor in choosing a major. If you are interested, your personality may be suitable.

Can you support your ability? So we need to study ability. We divide people's abilities into nine kinds, and what major to study requires different abilities to match.

Usually we will examine students' language ability, writing ability, mathematics ability and spatial judgment ability.
