How long did it take to build the Eiffel Tower?

More than a century ago, when gustave eiffel, a French architect, put forward a plan to build a theme tower at the Paris World Expo to commemorate the 0/00th anniversary of the French Revolution/KLOC-,people did not show much interest, and some even strongly opposed the construction of the tower. On February 1887 and 14, just a few weeks after the workers dug the foundation of the tower, some famous French literati also protested to the government, calling the tower a "shame of Paris", and one writer even dismissed it as a "truly unfortunate street lamp".

But history soon proved them wrong. 1889, the Eiffel Tower was built, with a height of 312m, which was the tallest building in the world at that time.

It took more than two years to build the Eiffel Tower.
