Has Guangzhou Tianqiao been opened?

With a total length of 8 kilometers, Guangzhou's first "air trail" from Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall via Yuexiu Mountain, Sculpture Park and Luhu Park to the south gate of Baiyun Mountain was officially opened and put into use in April 2020. This "air trail" against the sky connects Baiyun Mountain, Land Rover Lake, Huaguo Mountain and Yuexiu Mountain at one time, allowing visitors to enter the Flower Sea Kingdom from the original ecological park in one second.

Baiyun Mountain-Land Rover-Yuexiu Mountain, where Yundao Project is located, is a traditional urban center and densely populated area in Guangzhou. The road network is dense, and many urban main roads and branches pass through the area. The problems of traffic congestion and automobile exhaust emission are becoming more and more prominent. At present, Baiyun Mountain, Land Rover Lake and Yuexiu Mountain Scenic Area are divided by urban roads, lacking a unified path connection, which cannot meet the actual needs of citizens for urban public space.

From 2065438 to March 2009, the concept of "Cloud Road" appeared for the first time in the regulatory detailed planning of Guangzhou Garden and its surrounding areas adopted by Guangzhou Planning Commission. Baiyun Mountain, Guo Huashan and Yuexiu Mountain are connected through the 8 km "Cloud Road" (air trail) to form three scenic spots, namely, Mountain Rongcheng, Green Valley Forest Appreciation and Yuntai Lake Tour.

"Cloud Road" means "Walking in the clouds, returning to Qinglu". By building the "Cloud Road", you can go directly from Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall to Baiyun Mountain.

The project includes two footbridges in the air, from the northeast gate of Yuexiu Park to Land Rover Lake via Sculpture Park. Among them, Xiatang West Road has a new overpass with a span of about 30 meters; A new overpass is built on Lujing Road, with a path of about 16m and a sidewalk width of 3-5m. In order to facilitate disabled people to travel, the project will transform the slow-moving system of Marcos Bridge, including facade decoration, deck pavement reconstruction and greening promotion.

In the future, Yundao Phase I will have four platforms for pedestrians to get on and off. In order to improve the green landscape around the platform, flowering trees and supporting facilities will be added to create a good environmental atmosphere and create a characteristic leisure corridor with charming landscape and outstanding highlights.
