Travel Notes
From the gloomy and ruins of the city after World War II to the overall return and re-emergence of seamless Baroque buildings, this is not only a matter of restoring buildings and restoring the city, but also a reflection of Dresden people who are studying in Berlin. Their deep heart protects culture and cherishes hard-won peace.
After the rebirth of nirvana, the city of Dresden still preserves and reproduces the most beautiful overall features. This beauty is a desolate beauty that has gone through hardships and a vicissitudes of life that has been reborn after the robbery. While showing the grandeur and exquisiteness of Baroque architecture, it always evokes people's memories of war wounds.
War is a trampling on human civilization. In a sense, there is no winner at all. Interestingly, just as Dresden in Germany and Coventry in Britain, the same historical and cultural cities, suffered from the tragic air strikes of the other side in World War II, and the same experiences and injuries brought the two cities together and became sister cities.
The old market square in Dresden is the center of the whole city. It is centered on the statue of Auguste, the mighty king, and is surrounded by baroque museums, churches, hotels, shops and quiet streets.
In addition to the beautiful Notre Dame Cathedral, Zwinger Palace is also a must-see punch-in point for tourists.
There are elegant fountains, fine lawns and exquisite stone carvings around the courtyard of Zwinger Palace. The precision of its construction can't help but make people stunned, leisurely stroll and blend in. Immersing in this atmosphere is a kind of beautiful enjoyment, and it will also remind us of the glory of that era.
However, this exquisite palace, like the Cathedral of Notre Dame, has not escaped the fate of being bombed ... In the 18 years after being razed to the ground, Dresdens tried their best to select building materials from the ruins of Zwinger Palace, reassemble them, and make accurate copies according to photos and design drawings. In 1963, the original appearance of Zwinger Palace was basically restored.
Next to Zwinger Palace, there is a mural wall 1 meters high and 11 meters long. On the wall, a giant painting made of more than 2, tiles is displayed.
It used to be the oldest arena in Europe, Tarkhov, and the northeast atrium of Dresden Palace. This picture of a prince on the outer wall of Shi Tarkhov is the longest tile painting in the world today, and the Mason tile used in it is one of the best and most expensive porcelain brands in the world.
According to the tour guide, this magnificent tile mural vividly depicts the scene of 31 kings and princes marching in line in Saxony in the 12th century, and each king is marked with his name, which is very interesting and rare, just like a panoramic painting.
The characters on the screen are all lifelike. Apart from members of the royal family, there are scientists, citizens, soldiers, etc. It is said that there are 93 people.
I can't count them anyway, and I can't even find a suitable place to take photos of Zhang Quanjing.
the exquisite craftsmanship of the craftsmen makes the viewers all pay homage. What surprised everyone even more was that Dresden was bombed into ruins at the end of World War II, and the Cathedral of Notre Dame was razed to the ground, but the mural was miraculously preserved.
what a unique blessing!
In addition to exquisite and magnificent architecture, classical music and opera in court style are also a major feature of Dresden.
The famous writer Eric kastner's comment on Dresden can be seen from the past lives of a famous opera house.
this splendid building with exquisite, grand and spectacular features and strong neo-Renaissance style is the Semperoper, which is known as the top ten opera houses in the world. The Dresden National Orchestra, with a history of over 46 years, is one of the most traditional orchestras in the world.
speaking of this famous building located in the ancient city, it can be said that it is full of misfortune.
in 1841, the architect Gottfried Semper (Gottfried? Semper) designed and built the Semper Opera House, which represents the soul of Saxony music.
In the square on the front, there stands a horse-riding statue like King John of Saxony, the initiator of the construction of this opera house.
It is said that the statue of the knight has a saying. If the horse in the statue has two feet off the ground, it means that the rider died in the battlefield. If one front leg leaves the ground, it means that the rider was injured in the war or died afterwards; If all fours touch the ground, it means that the rider died of non-war causes.
At the beginning of this palace theater decorated with Collins capitals and baroque carvings, the royal family and nobles visited it, and the works of Richard Wagner and Richard strauss were warmly praised and staged frequently.
However, this one of the most beautiful architectural treasures in Europe was completely destroyed in an unknown fire on September 21st, 1869. Once brilliant, Dresden people can't forget it. People who are unwilling to give up jointly signed and asked for reconstruction ... < P > But the architect Fred Sempa had already fled because of his participation in the "March Uprising" in Dresden. The royal family was finally forced to allow Sempa to design a new theater, but he could not come back to visit the scene. Therefore, Manfred Semper, the eldest son of Semper, began to rebuild in 1871 under the remote command of his father, and was finally completed in 1889, restoring its former style.
I never thought that on February 13th, 1945, Sempa Opera House was once again destroyed by the fire of World War II.
However, the spiritual pursuit of beauty will never stop. In 1977, the former East Germany decided to rebuild the theater. In 1984, the Sempa Opera House was completely restored according to the shape before the bombing.
On February 13th, 1985, on the 4th anniversary of the bombing, classic melodies such as Weber's Magic Bomb Shooter and Richard Strauss's der rosenkavalier floated again in the brand-new Sempa Opera House, which reappeared its former glory.
May God bless this ill-fated music shrine from now on!
Go out of the music hall and come to bruehl Platform, which is known as "the balcony of Europe".
bruehl Platform is famous for its magnificent outdoor steps, which is a popular place for walking, watching and drinking coffee for locals and tourists. From here, the beautiful scenery of the Elbe New City and the Old City meets here and has a panoramic view.
at this time, the sun is shining, and the golden autumn sun shines like the glorious golden light of the past, which makes the city's epic history and beautiful baroque artistic style like Bach's immortal music, broad and deep, majestic and tragic, from the depths of distant history to the distant future.
While I was taking photos under the steps, I suddenly found a lovely little girl on the slope, running lightly down one side of the slope steps ...
I did not hesitate to pick up the camera and record this wonderful time.
Colorful leaves are swaying in the autumn wind, and the steps on the slope are covered with golden leaves. The little girl runs like a Hua Hudie, and the autumn in Dresden is gorgeous.
That autumn in Dresden, the little girl running and the black and gray classical architecture of the city, the classic and vitality of the city, the beauty and vicissitudes of life, formed a strong contrast in my heart, and also laid a deep imprint.
After 8 years' tempering, Dresden, reborn from nirvana, wandered between classicism and fashion, and the charm of modernity and tradition was quiet and peaceful against the backdrop of autumn sun. This city has left behind not only the beautiful scenery along the Yishui River, the legacy of Florence in the Renaissance, the classic art worthy of passing down from generation to generation, but also people's expectation and yearning for peace and a better life.
cherish peace and beauty will last forever!
