What is China's second film? Thank you, everyone.
One hundred years ago, in Changbanpo, when films were introduced to China, they were all foreign films. It was not until 1905 that China people began to try to make their own movies. Ren Qingtai, the owner of Beijing Fengtai Photo Studio, 1850 was born in a gentry family in Sitaizi Village, Faku County, Liaoning Province. ) In the 28th year of Guangxu (1902), the first film was released in Beijing, which was then called Western film. A year later, movies became a new entertainment for Beijingers, and Ren Qingtai was also a frequent visitor to movies. He found it easy to make money by showing movies. At that time, there was no fixed place for film screening, only teahouses, restaurants, skating rinks and so on were borrowed. Ren Qingtai believes that movies have a bright future. Why not build a garden for the cinema? So he allocated a huge sum of money to buy a piece of land in Dashilan outside the front door, 1904 broke ground and built the "Daguanlou Cinema Garden". Amid the sound of firecrackers, Daguanlou Cinema opened and rented western films. This is the first professional cinema in Beijing. One day, I bought a camera and wanted to make a movie. Ren Qingtai discussed the business situation with Liu Zhongkun, Liu and other apprentices and found that the business of Daguanlou was not as good as before. He asked everyone what the reason was. "It's all western movies, it's boring." Photographer Liu Zhongkun said. "Exactly." Ren Qingtai nodded and said, "At present, the western films released are all landscapes, tricks and funny jokes. The time is very short, and it is inevitable that the audience's interest will decrease." In fact, Ren Qingtai already has the idea of making his own film. Moreover, he believes that the principle of making movies and taking photos is roughly the same, and he firmly believes that it will be successful. Regarding the content of the film, Ren Qingtai advocated: "Peking Opera is popular now, and people of all ages love to watch it. If it is shown in a movie, it will definitely attract a large audience. " To start, Ren Qingtai took Liu to the Kailuofu foreign firm opened by the Germans in Dongjiaominxiang, bought a French wooden-shell hand-cranked camera and 14 roll of film, asked the staff of the foreign firm how to use it, made experiments on the spot, and then took it home to shoot. Who shot Dingjun Mountain in Peking Opera "Tan Xinpei's Birthday"? Ren Qingtai turned his attention to Tan Xinpei, which has the reputation of "King of Music". Ren Qingtai, a famous Beijing opera lover, has a deep personal relationship, so he discussed with Tan to shoot his best Dingjun Mountain as a birthday present for his 60th birthday next year. For Tan Xinpei, this is an unprecedented way to celebrate his birthday, so he readily agreed. 1905 At the turn of summer and autumn, shooting started on Dingjun Mountain. Ren Qingtai chose the best photographer in the museum, Zuowei Liu Photographer. His work is equivalent to that of the later director, such as pointing out the angle of the lens, the position of the actor's performance, and stopping shooting. Due to the limitation of lighting conditions, only natural light can be used for shooting. The shooting location was arranged in the yard between the front and back of the studio. There is a big white curtain hanging on the two pillars, and the camera is fixed on the back wall with the best viewing effect. Because it is the first time to try to make a film, the conditions are simple and inexperienced, and the shooting is often suspended, so we have to stop as soon as there is a cloud covering the sun. In this way, the clapping stopped, the play lasted for more than ten minutes, and it took three days to finish. Dingjun Mountain premiered at Daguanlou Cinema. Several other teahouses and theaters in Beijing have followed suit. Within a few days, the news that "Boss Tan is really good at movies" almost spread all over Beijing. Everyone called friends and friends, and there was an endless stream. The screening scene was once crowded with people. Hit it off, Ren Qingtai is more interested. In the second half of the same year, he filmed the second opera film "Dragon Banpo" for Tan Xinpei. By 1908, Ren Qingtai shot eight films, and the quality improved step by step. 1930, Ren Qingtai died at the age of 80.
