I want to travel to America in winter vacation and go abroad for the first time. How to get a visa?

Step 2: The consulate visa must be the consulate where the household registration is located. For example, the American consul in Shanghai only has Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai and Anhui visas.

For group tours, visas are handled by travel agencies, and for self-help tours, visas can also be handled by travel agencies. The procedure is the same as a group tour, and the cost is usually several hundred yuan (different for each family). Pay attention to find a travel agency with the qualification of outbound tour group.

Let the travel agency make a list of the information to be provided, and collect them one by one according to this list, such as property certificates (real estate licenses and deposits, deposits are not allowed to take passbooks, just a certificate from the bank), and unit guarantees.

Give my passport and all kinds of information to the travel agency for visa at least one month in advance. After the visa comes down, you can book air tickets and hotels.
