What materials do children need to apply for visas?

Traveling abroad is no longer a hard thing to see. Nowadays, most people prefer to travel abroad with their children, and choose a family to travel around, leaving precious memories for each other and enjoying family happiness.

However, taking children abroad requires a visa! Then, many people don't know how to help their children get visas.

So, Xiaobian is coming. Here are some tips for children to go abroad for visas compiled by Xiaobian. Remember to keep them!

Passport

First of all, children, like adults, need a carrier, that is, a passport.

In other words, if children travel to a specific country, they need to prepare their passports before submitting materials to apply for visas in that country-to apply for visas in various countries (passports are equivalent to the carrier of visas, and only when they have passports can they apply for visas in embassies in various countries! )

It should be noted that minors must also go to the local exit-entry administration in person to apply for passports, and at the same time, they must provide their children's personal identification photos, household registration books, parents' ID cards and related copies.

ps: generally, you can get your passport within 1 to 15 working days from the date of processing.

So what materials do minors need to provide when they apply for passports?

There are two main situations:

1. Parents and children have the same household registration. Just provide your parents' household registration book and ID card.

2. Parents and children do not have the same household registration. Children's birth certificate/one-child certificate, parents'/guardians' household registration book and ID card, parents' marriage certificate/notarized documents/legal documents proving legal custody shall be provided.

If we get our passports, then we can safely start visa processing!

What needs to be known is that different countries need different materials to apply for a visa, and the additional materials required to apply for a minor visa are also different.

what additional materials do minors need to provide when applying for visas from different countries?

For example, some countries in Southeast Asia need relatively simple materials to apply for visas. For example, Asian countries such as Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia can basically just add photos, household registration books, parents' ID cards and birth certificates.

Thailand visa

photo and passport (if the child has already gone to school, proof of studying is required).

Singapore visa

copy of household registration book, parents' ID card, copy of birth certificate

Malaysia visa

passport and 2 color photos with white background.

If the child is under 16 years old but has parents or one of them applying for a visa, a copy of the household registration book and a copy of the birth certificate of the whole family are also required;

If a child is under 16 years old and wants to apply for a visa alone (parents already have a visa or don't apply for a visa), then in addition to providing a copy of the above-mentioned household registration book and a copy of the birth certificate, a letter of entrustment from parents is also required!

Japan

When minors apply for a Japanese visa, they need to provide a copy of the household registration book, a certificate of relationship and a student's certificate of attendance (issued by the school they attend) and so on.

For European and American countries, you need to provide more materials.

For minors in the United States, you need to provide household registration books or ID cards, parents' ID cards and the original birth certificates of minors.

It should be noted that applicants under the age of 14 are exempt from interview when applying for a US visa!

France

notarized and certified birth certificate/kinship certificate

notarized certificate of parents in different banks

Britain

Minors need to provide extra copies of birth certificate, household registration book, etc., and notarized certificate of parents in different banks, etc.

Australia

Minors need to add a color copy of their household registration, a peer certificate, a copy of their parents' marriage certificate and a relationship certificate when applying for an Australian visa.

Schengen visa

European Schengen visa, which can be used to enter all Schengen countries, including Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Greece, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal,

Spain, Sweden, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Poland, Estonia and Latvia.

The materials required to apply for the Schengen visa are the most complicated. As long as applicants under the age of 18, they need to provide notarization of kinship or notarization and certification of birth medical certificate.

In addition, China citizens under the age of 18 need to use their parents'/sponsors' assets to apply for a Schengen visa or study abroad/immigrate in some countries when they reach the age of 18, and also need to provide visa notarization and certification.

with so many notaries and certifications, many friends have been confused. At first, the parent-child sauce was the same as yours, but after unremitting efforts, I finally figured them out. ↓

Ps: In most of the above countries, if applicants are studying at school, they need to provide a copy of their student ID card and proof of school.

Notarization

Birth certificate: used to prove the applicant's date of birth, domicile, parents, etc.

Generally, you need to prepare for birth notarization:

① the child's ID card and household registration book; If the applicant is abroad, a copy of the passport is required;

② The child's hospital birth certificate or the birth certificate issued by the personnel department of the unit or the street office where the household registration is located, which should list the applicant's name, gender, date of birth, place of birth (specific to the city or county) and parents' names (if the parents are deceased) in detail;

③ Three recent one-inch photos of children (in color or black and white);

④ Original ID card and marriage certificate of both parents

Notarization of birth certificate:

Proof that the original and photocopy of birth certificate are consistent

② the original ID cards of both parents; (Applicants who do not apply for residence registration must bring their original residence booklet, ID card and temporary residence permit, and applicants who are overseas must bring their passports or ID cards)

③ The original household registration book;

④ original parents' marriage certificate.

Notarization of kinship:

Prove the kinship between the applicant and the related party;

① the applicant's identity card and household registration book and their copies (if the household registration has been cancelled, you need to go to the local police station to issue a certificate recording the household registration. If the applicant is of foreign nationality, a copy of the ID card of the country to which he belongs is required. )

② If someone else acts as an agent, the power of attorney and the agent's ID card shall be submitted.

③ the kinship certificate issued by the personnel organization or labor department of the applicant's unit. If there is no personnel organization or labor department in the applicant's unit, it shall be certified by the superior competent department of the unit.

④ if an agent applies on his behalf, he/she must submit the power of attorney, resident identity card and its copy, and other agents must submit the certificate of agency qualification;

⑤ the applicant submits the identity card, passport, travel permit or other supporting materials that can prove the identity of the related person;

⑥ other materials that the notary thinks should be submitted.

notarization by entrustment:

when one or both parents do not accompany minors to travel, they need to provide a notarized statement of entrustment, and entrust the other party and other relatives to take their children to travel.

required materials:

① Original ID card;

② two copies of declaration;

③ the relevant basis of the contents involved in the statement;

④ other certification materials that the notary thinks should be provided.

special note: when parents divorce, both parents need to provide the original notarial certificate.

tips:

If the notarial certificate still needs authentication, you must ensure that the notarial certificate is sealed well and go to the Foreign Affairs Office for authentication together with the authentication certificate issued by the notary office.

if you entrust others to handle foreign affairs certification, you need to fill in the certification letter information and seal it together, otherwise it will be invalid.

About authentication

After notarization, relevant institutions need to authenticate, and authentication can be divided into two types: single authentication and double authentication.

Only the notarial certificate needs to be sent to the Foreign Affairs Office for certification.

double certification requires the certification of the consulate (embassy) of the country using the notarial certificate in China after completing the certification procedures of the consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China or the offices of relevant provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities.

have you mastered these? Do remember! In this way, when you travel abroad with your children in the future, you can also be less upset. With these strategies, you should be prepared in your heart.
