Five kilometers east of the Yellow River Bridge, there is a Yellow River eco-tourism area, which consists of five landscapes: Yellow River levee landscape, leisure and entertainment park, grassland, Mother Lake and Yellow River natural scenic area.

The Origin of Huayuankou of the Yellow River

Legend has it that the Yellow River once burst its mouth here in the Northern Song Dynasty, and the government spent several years organizing a large number of migrant workers to block the mouth. Most of the migrant workers who have blocked their mouths and repaired dikes are victims and have long been homeless. When the river was blocked, they lived in a temporary grass temple built when the river was blocked and the embankment was repaired. On this basis, they cultivated land and became domestic children. Gradually, with more people, it became a village called Guijiazhuang. Later, the Yellow River moved south, and the dry water from Xingyang flowed into the Yellow River here, which also flooded the village and became the Yellow River ferry.

After many years, there are more people coming and going here, and it has become a lively place. During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, there was an official named Zan Xu in Xujiatang village on the bank of the Yellow River, who built a garden here, covering an area of 540 mu. In Fiona Fang, flowers and trees were planted all year round, and men and women from far and near competed for sightseeing all year round in bloom. Later, the Yellow River rolled south and diverted, and the flood swallowed up this beautiful garden. The locals miss this place and named it Huayuankou.
