History of Sunbo Town

Sunbo Town belonged to the 10th District of Tai'an County during the Anti-Japanese War. In the early days, Dongcheng Village, Xicheng Village, and Chaoyangzhuang belonged to Feicheng County, half of the villages west of the North and South Road of Wubu Village belonged to Dongping County, and the rest Each village belongs to the West 5th District of the 10th District of Tai'an County. In October 1939, it was placed under the jurisdiction of District 1 of Tai'an County. In 1941, it was placed under the jurisdiction of Taixi District 1. In June 1949, it was placed under the jurisdiction of District 8 of Feicheng County. In February 1950, townships were established below the district level. There were 7 townships in the district. In 1956, they were merged into 3 townships (Sunbo, Hongshan and Nanluan). In April 1958, the district was withdrawn and merged into the township. In September of the same year, the township was abolished and the Sun Bo People's Commune was rebuilt. In January 1960, the three brigades of Dongwu, Xiwu and Pashan were transferred from Anzhangshan Commune to Sun Bo Commune. Since then, Sun Bo Commune has administered seventeen brigades. The original high-level commune was renamed the Production Team, and in 1982 it had jurisdiction over three management areas. In December 1983, Sun Bo Commune was renamed Sun Bo District, with three townships (Sun Bo Township, Nan Luan Township, and Bei Luan Township), and the management area was abolished. . In November 1985, Sunbo District was changed to Sunbo Township, and townships below the district level were abolished. On December 25, 1987, four administrative districts were established: Sunbo, Nanluan, Wushan and Liuzhuang. On January 8, 1996, Sunbox Township was changed to Sunbox Town.
