Bengbu City is a municipality directly under the Central Government of Anhui Province, located in the northern center of Anhui Province and the middle reaches of Huaihe River, which is the dividing line between the north and the south of China. As an important business town in northern Anhui, a traffic gateway in Anhui and an emerging industrial city, it now has jurisdiction over four administrative regions, namely Longzihu, Pengshan, Yu Hui and Huaishang, two provincial development zones, Gaoxin and Xincheng, and three counties, namely Huaiyuan, Guzhen and Wuhe. The total population is about 3.4 million, with an area of 59 17 square meters. Among them, the urban population is 760,000, and the urban area is 445 square kilometers. Bengbu has always been the central city of northern Anhui. It is known as the pearl on the bank of Huaihe River. Bengbu is a good place, which is historically the "hometown of pearl picking".

Bengbu area has a long history. Before the pre-Qin period, Bengbu area was the gathering place of Huaiyi clan, which belonged to "Tushan Stone Country" and "Li China" in ancient times. During the Spring and Autumn Period, the country was roughly divided into Fengyang today, with Chu in the west and Wu in the east, so it was also called "Chu Tou Wu Wei". After the Qin Dynasty unified China, the Huaihe River basin entered the big family of the Chinese nation. A large number of historical sites and historical records show that Bengbu, located in the center of Huaihe River Basin, was once one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization.
