Introduction of Cai E's former residence

Cai E's former residence is the former residence of Cai E, the general of national protection, located in Cai E Village, Cai E Township, Daxiang District, Shaoyang City, Hunan Province (in 1948, it was changed to Jiangheqiao Township, Qinmu Township, Shaoyang County, in March 1952, and in May 1996, it was changed to Cai E Township, Daxiang District, Shaoyang City). Built in the late Qing Dynasty, the building faces east and west, with three main rooms, the main room is a hall, the left and right side rooms are bedrooms, and one wing is built on the right side. There are cornices in front of it, with a total width of 15.7 meters and a depth of 8.3 meters. Brick wall, three-in-one mud powder surface, single-eave overhanging peak, pine rafters (1 cm wide and 2 cm thick) laid on Chinese fir sandalwood strips, small blue tile roof on double slopes, small blue tile seat ridge, three-in-one earth floor and stone apron steps. There is a small lawn of more than 2 square meters in front of the house, with farmland and a parking lot of 5 square meters outside the lawn. There is a small triangular pond in front of the left, Zaozi Mountain in the 4 meters south, and the graves of Cai's ancestors and parents in the east. In May 22, it was announced by Hunan Provincial People's Government as a provincial key cultural relics protection unit, and in June 26, it was announced as a national cultural relics protection unit by the State Council. The protection, development and construction project of Cai E's former residence was launched in May 213. The project focuses on the historical and cultural tourism of Cai E's former residence, takes General Cai E's hometown and its green ecological village as the resource base, and makes every effort to build Cai E's former residence into a tourism brand and a model of building a new socialist countryside through in-depth excavation and integration of historical and cultural resources in the scenic spot. On October 3th, 213, the foundation stone was laid for the former residence project of Cai E, with the participation of Sun Caixie, general of Cai E, with a total investment of about one billion yuan. In addition, the former residence of Beijing Cai E is located at No.66 Mianhua Hutong (the site of the famous female general Qin Liangyu's stationing troops in the late Ming Dynasty) in Xicheng District, Beijing. Cai E lived here from 2 years to 4 years (November 1913-November 1915).
